I see your pain
and I am with you
I walk pathes akin to yours in many ways I feel
and I have walked in places you have
I have felt the numbing cold from within
and relished in it's presence
to quench pain

I have too, been lost in the dark
wandering and weary
lost and felt loveless
hoping for anyone
anything to come to my comfort
and grant respite to a welling loneliness that
tears at my being from within

and, more often than not
I too have turned to drink
or anything
to bury my pain

but I must tell you this, my sister
from Lupus to Lupus
as only one can understand

Though you feel alone in this
and the burdens we of the wolven way carry
are great and heavy
know too that our howls of pain
and our tears are SEEN and KNOWN

we, like all of these Children of the Changing way
FEEL
and GIVE
it is to us to run the pathes first that many do not dare
because we are to protect our brothers and sisters
we know of the pack
and how the pack must live
and we teach that in our every move

so, to us, in our darkest times
where can we turn?

I say to you, turn to the Veils and hear the wind there
and know the difference between the beating heart of LIFE
from the cool stillness of the Hollows
and within that understanding
listen to the whispers of Spirit

and find solace in the fact that,
if nothing else
you are SEEN and KNOWN and LOVED

by ME
by SPIRIT
and by all of the Children of the Changing Way who gather to this place
to offer their heart to you
