Hehehe - welcome to IS Statusquobuster, even if you hadn't listed where you're from I'd be able to tell from what you wrote that you live in the DC area

I hear you...
And I can honestly say that Americans (and I'm speaking of Americans in general) DON'T WANT A REVOLUTION. They don't want a revolution because they would have to change the way they live...the way they do business....the way they think. They are comfortable the way they are; with their gas guzzling SUV's and their McMansions, their revolving credit and 401K's. To admit that change is needed would mean that they would have to give up some of the things that they identify with "the good life" and they are not willing to do that.
Not yet.
And so there will not be a revolution. At least not in America. Because Americans have so much that they can not see their way clear to giving it all up for something intangible, like an idea or a belief.
Instead there will be a paradigm shift.
The changes will occur - are occuring - whether people are ready or not. It will not be fun. It will not be easy. But it will happen.
