It is useless to fear the inevitable. The future is not yet written. There are choices. You choose too fear the inevitable and the universe will come together to give you something to really be afraid of. If you choose to accept what ever comes your way and deal with it apropriately, I believe, it will go allot smoother. All 2012 stands for is change. Change is natural. It can be a good or it can be a bad experience, but I suggest for your own sanity and survival please focus on a smooth transition and how much better off the world will be when it is over. We are in the midst of a constant tango with nature and remember it takes 2 to tango. Soooooo..... keep your chin up don't be scared be prepared. Lighten up your energy is probably the best way to start. Learn to smile and laugh during hard times. You know, see the light side of things.

The Mayan Calendar ends on October 28, 2011

For some reason, the 2012 concept has caught on with the masses - the only thing that goes on during December 21, 2012 is the winter solstice - and that happens EVERY year!

I've heard about the aligning of our solar system with the center of the galaxy and the sun entering the dark rift - but have seen no evidence of this being true or not true...

some say 2013 but few have any solid proof of exactly when, whatever will happen, will happen. I am not saying it will be on exactly 12/21/2012 the exact date is not the point. Whatever is going to happen will happen whenever the time is right. Predicting dates or getting caught up on specific dates is a bit silly to me. We should always live like 2012,2011,2013, etc. is around the corner. Be prepared everyday.Anything could happen at any moment without notice. Humanity could be destroyed entirely today. So live accordingly there is no time to waste. Appreciate what you have while you have it. Horrrayy!

I have been getting a lot of feelings of "something is going to happen", and sometimes sick feelings in the pit of my stomach. I have been getting these feelings for years now, and it's only intensifying as time passes. It may have something to do with 2012, it may not. Although, I do feel that something big is going to happen, and soon.

i feel uneasy, when i think of it,but i just know we should appreciate what we have now.

Greenguy - where did you read the calendar ends that date? Everything else I have ever seen has said it's been confirmed for 12-21-2012.

If you do a little research on your own, you will see that the calendar that Ian Lungold presents (and Dr. Carl Johan Calleman researched) is quite accurate.
I've yet to see any substantial evidence on the 12-21-2012 idea, past the fact that it's the winter solstice and MIGHT be the date our solar system aligns with the dark rift of our Galaxy...

However - what the end of this 16.4 Billion year old calendar means is anybodys guess...

Christ came and appeared and left the lost tribes of Israel in South America, after he was crucified. When he left them he told them he would be returning again on a 52 year period.

They would build new coverings over their temples and even the common people would redo their homes, and bring in new furniture and etc in preparation for his return. They did not know the time of his exact return date, so they did it every 52 years to be ready.

That was why the Aztecs greeted Cortez with open arms, they thought it the White bearded God returning as he has promised. You can find the similar accounts of other explorers in South America and in the Pacific Islands. This was part of our school history books of the 1950 and 1960s, and I guess 1970s, not sure if it is still in there or not.

That was back when, the 8 grade US Constitution government class books, said we had the right to bear arms, to take out of office, those people destroying our country. Not to destroy the movement, but take out of office in a civil up rising, those who were not abiding the will of the people and the Constitution. The school books of today, don't say that any more either.

So Christ was to return on a 52 year period, but the calenders could be off some, and who knowns which 52 year period.

I think it simply marks the dawning of a new age.

What I have explained is why the Mayans did what they did, Most of the what you see left in the Americas that has any real structure to it, was left by the scattered house of Israel or other such lead here to the Promised Land, which has always been preserved for Heavenly Fathers righteous people or etc, who were feeling captivity and wanting a new life. Others have come too, by ship wreck too, and etc, but the became of no consequence, but died out or blended into the existing culture. One can really that, if one does the reading and research.

I find that where ever greatness is obtained in history, they have been a righteous people, at least at some point, but then always fall prey to the cycle of life, which is captivity, slavery, rebellion, prosperity, pride and greed, then again captivity and slavery. The slavery goes on and on, and never stops.

Greatness is forged in adversity and trails, pride, stupidity and ignorance is forged in days of plenty when we forget from whence all things come, and who gave them to us, and no longer give thanks to Father. If ones reads in history, you see it time and time again

I recently checked out "The Mayan Calendar Comes North" by Ian Lungold on Google Video.. It was amazing, disturbing and liberating all at the same time.. Somehow.. deep inside.. it makes sense. There is a part of me that has human concern for myself and mankind.. but I have a greater sense that things will be better because.. the pattern is guided by enlightenment with all the hue and cry that it encompasses. If all this is true.. I am curious about your opinions as to how Indigo People will contribute to this change?

I've heard of 2012 being described as the time when things will be increasing (aka technology) and the rate at which they are increasing is increasing. 2012 may be the time when we reach an infinite point in human evolution.
