In 2012...

Does anyone here feel a strange sense of foreboding when thinking of the year 2012? I catch myself in the grip of fear often when the year is spoken or brought up. Something in our world is brewing and I fear it will show its face in 2012. Please, any thoughts or similar feelings?

I feel what ever is going to happen, will happen, and there is nothing we can do about it, if anything happens at all. All we can do is strive to do what is right, and prepare continually for what every might come up.

With the world as it is today, it might be the beginning of the days of tribulation and testing for all.

It might be because the collective consciousness is 'thinking' about that quite a bit. In-other-words, a lot of people know about it and spend energy thinking about it. You are just picking up on that energy - go beyond it and you will see the truth (even if that's just for a glimpse at a time )

I doubt life will alter in the year 2012. It's just when a calender ends. Nothing spectacular.

thank you all for posting, i appreciate the words of wisdom, it could be i am simply picking up on the energies from others regarding this particular subject. my mother has had many premonitions of things that have happened in the past such as 9-11, the tsumanis in Asia, etc.. mine have not been as strong as hers but i believe the trait passed on and this subject tends to arouse alarm and fear in my heart

Well, it is important to listen to that inner voice too - don't disregard it, but take it in perspective. Pay attention to what is going on around you and inside you right now and don't dwell on the thought of 2012 - the answers you seek should be available to you as you need to know them.

i think the outcome of the 2012 events atre going to be positive. like once its all over the world wil;l experience a change for the better. so no i dont feel frightened

i dont really feel much when i hear '2012'. i think i've learned to disregard a lot of that stuff because many things [like the y2k scare] didn't end up coming true. maybe something bad will happen in 2012 just on a smaller note. do you feel this bad feeling for the world? or just in a group of people, perhaps those close to you? i try not to worry about it becuase life is too short to worry and if something bad were to happen like the world ending, why spend your last years worrying. i think a reason im not too worried is because i can see myself in the future and i dont feel a disruption in it. it could possibly be just what i want in the future, but a lot of times i will feel something blocking what i see if it's wrong or wont happen.

Personally, and this is just me - I don't worry about the future. I do sometimes get excited about it (and perhaps that is my downfall, because excitement does have an opposite) but like you said, life is too short to worry about things (or feel guilt for that matter)

I do see patterns that have taken place over many years though. If what I have learned in history class is correct and not just a bunch of lies, then there is definately a pattern to it all - check out "The Mayan Calendar Comes North" by Ian Lungold on Google Video, then do some research into history and you will probably see the same patterns. I was AMAZED at how the evolution of the automobile fit into the pattern of the calendar!

Now, what that means for the future, I don't exactly know - the calendar states the intentions of creation, but no one really knows how it will manifest. However, the interesting thing is that all the cycles that have been going on for the last 16.4 Billion years all abrubtly end, simultaniously on October 28, 2011 - What that means, I haven't a clue - but it is odd to me, because the longest cycle in the calendar, the "Cellular cycle" it's been named by Dr. Carl Johan Calleman, is 16.4 Billion years long and had to deal with the development of the consciousness of indivdual cells...what happens when that cycle ends? Is it a death? Is it a move onto a whole new realm? I don't think anyone knows for sure...

Fear is a natural emotion that comes from not knowing what to expect.

Meditation eliminates fear by establishing it as an emotion that reflects on the mind but is not part of the mind.

Therefore the more you meditate the more you will eliminate the unknowing and establish yourself in the knowing.

The place where fear can not take hold.

2012 is a time where this world will conclude its present age of evil.

Everything will be erased from the face of the earth (literally).

So in a way those who survive will be able to start with a clean slate.

I often feel some sense of foreboding about this, but it may simply be a subconscious thing(after hearing so many things about 2012) or possibly picking up on others' feelings. Or perhaps it is a true feeling. Either way, I do not fear it. If the world ends, so be it. I believe I shall live on. If the world gets better, excellent. For now, I will have to wait.
