No worries, there is so much to learn from the teachings I'm still reading into it myself. I think behind every martial art is an extended history of development that involves levels of different spiritual practice. For Kenjutsu it is Zen. I have always sort of known that Zen is an extreme spiritual practice but it's purpose is to develop a certain level of discipline and respect for our teachers and ancestors. The origins lie deep within the experience of the Samurai from feudal Japan but having practiced and studied other Buddhist understandings and the spread of Buddhism from Hinduism (and delved into the Vedic scriptures) I can see that there are connecting similarities. The offshoots of each practice only remind me that we are capable of creating our own practice to suit our lifestyles. Falun Gong literature and practice suits me because it brings all of the history I have learned into a unified theory. Perhaps at one time in my life I will practice a single way but until that day comes, I will continue to better myself the way I know best.
