The only Rue that rings a bell is Syrian Rue, I've never done it but I'm fairly certain I've read about it.
The most interesting experiences I've had were on Salvia Divinorum or Mushrooms. Only once has Salvia been terrible to me, and it was only terrible because it made me laugh soooo hard.
