Apocalypse- the collective unconscious

End of Days, Apocalypse, Mayan calendars. It made me wonder why we as humanity have such a fascination with the end coming in a blinding violent flash. For every measure of time there have been prophets shouting from the mountain tops that the world was ending. We seem so entranced by this horrible news. Like drivers on the highway of life we slow down a little to see the blood spattered accident by the road side. No doubt it is hardwired into our DNA to pay attention to danger, it is how we have survived. Still, it doesn't seem motivation enough to be so seduced by the end of the world concept.

I'm posing a theory about the effect of past lives on current apocalypse fervour. Perhaps the many lives we experience leave an indelible mark on the memory of our souls and cells. This linear cycle of birth and death imprint a universal sense of impending doom. Though we are no longer stalked by lions, burned at the stake, shot or killed in a plague; we carry the inevitable past life fear of the end.

Or maybe I had too much wine with lunch today.

Oh, I don't know it was not that long ago we lived in caves and discovered fire. It may be that, at that time, we were more animal that thinking beings. Now it would seem we are beginning to be more thinking beings then animal as a whole. At some point in our past we hit a point in evolutionary development that brought us out of the animal kingdom into the human kingdom and it would seem we are moving toward another leap in evolution. It would seem we will each have a choice individually to move forward or backward. Free will being as it is that seems to be the way of evolution. Some move forward to the next globe as I have seen it written while others remain behind to lead the next wave of beings. It makes these times very interesting with or without too much wine.

I guess we humans are a little slow to evolve and move forward. Thank heaven the starseeds have come to give a a little evolutionary push. without their influence I fear we may still be living in caves scratching our primate backsides.

Oh I don't know I tend to think we have the task to do. Others may guide or hint but it is we humans that must take the step forward into our future. There just is not anything off planet that can do what we ourselves need do but that is just a humble opinion. Also when I say off planet I speak of other then human for it would seem there are those of us ahead that reach back and lift but they be higher evolved humans at this stage. Back in the caves maybe not but now humanity is at such a point it is up to us. That brings a question to mind as to star seeds and their relationship with humanity and if by coming here they somehow become part of humanity as there have been others that have evolved into what they may be before us. Could they be those who chose to not move forward and lead the next wave? For I, the concern is to do what I can to move humanity into the new age the rest will take care of itself.
