Here you found like-minded people, open-minded people with whom you could discuss issues that really mattered; Science, religion, philosophy, spirituality, speculation, history, sociology and how all of these things could be applied to one's spiritual evolution.

And when you left - you felt rejuvenated - energized - ready to go out and deal ...

I don’t believe that the future is set in stone.

I’m of the impression that our higher selves sat down before we came to this particular incarnation and said “this is what I want to happen” in this lifetime. It’s a broad sketch, an outline if you will, giving the life they are about to embark on purpose and meaning.

How we accomplish the purpose, how we fill in the outline or color in the sketch is completely up to us. That is our free will.
