I have a new job, I am happily working with old books. These books were created in 1923 and before. People have said books can talk and I was always was skeptical. In my new job, I am surrounded by these books and I started to hear whispering. I relized on either thursday or friday its from the books. These books have there own personal history and if you quite your mind you can hear them. I have only heard whispers because I am surrounded by over six million books at a time and cannot distinguish just one voice.
I felt the need to share this with everyone, and wasnt sure where to post it which is why I posted it here. Has anyone else had experiences like this? This ad goes away when you register. |

I love books a lot.
Sometimes I get books calling me over to a shelf and I am told to reach out and grab in a certain direction... often times I have no idea where my hand is going or which section I am in at the library/book shops... and I pull out something always which helps me on my path! Which is weird! Tina xxx |

Hi Defensekid. Thanks for sharing your experience of books"whispering" Some experience! There's no knowing what strange perceptions people can experience. I remember hearing of a boy who saw numbers as colours. Somnebody else saw notes of the scale a colurs as well. My strange experience was when I sood in front of an original Van Gogh painting in a gallery. When I saw his individual brush-strokes, I had a wierd feeling that he himself was still in these strokes. It was surreal!

No. First I've heard of this. Wonder where you heard about books talking? Maybe they weren't referring to actual out loud speech, but more of a metaphor, like *walls have ears*.
On another note - it's supposed to be bad Feng Shui to have books in the bedroom because of the static they can cause...So hmm. |

the books dont talk about there words persay, its more of there experiances and where they have been. its weird i hope i am explaining it correctly. its like a chronicle of there life and there information. each book has its own distinct personality and life and everything and is just waiting for someone to listen to it, just where i work there are too many to listen. over 6 million books waiting to be heard, kinda hard to distinguish one voice outta 6 million, that is also not including the micro film and the movies that are being preserved. i dont know how many micro films or movies there are, i just deal with the books.
i hope that clarifies a bit |

Well then, what has the Old Testament been saying? It's been here since Creation. Can't get older than that and if old books can speak - what's this one saying?

I believe that it is possible for objects to absorb energy.
every book that has ever been owned has its own personality - its as if it absorbs some of the energy of whoever owned it. Walk into a new book store and the atomosphere is always open and "fresh" with no preconceived notions or ideas. I can open a copy of, say, Emerson's essays in a new bookstore and get no 'impressions' and be able to just read the words. A used copy on the other hand tends to leave impressions in my mind, as if whatever its previous owner thought about the words somehow left an impression on the pages. ???? |

i completely agree with that sshenry. i work with books over 100 years old that are owned by princeton university. so they have passed through many hands and are in poor condition for the most part. they are full of life and hsitory though, its interesting, just wish i could hear their stories better.

I havent had books whisper to me but I have had books that seem to almost fall into my hands okay they do seem to some how call me to thier direction its wierd. Its always the books that I need to read. And gain a source of information.
Here is a book that most people on this site need to have a solid understanding of this world if they dont already without the book. Read this one in spurts The Golden Dawn Read this one in love The Pleiadian Workbook Read this one from the library The lost Goddess May the divine bless us all. |

Can you please explain to me what is the golden dawn? As I thought it was part of satanism?
(I am not saying this to make you awkward, just a general enquiry, I am very open and accepting, to most things) |

holo, the story of creation was formed way after creation it was written when moses went to mountian to talk to g-d after the jews were freed from egypt. also just because it is one of the oldest stories does not mean every where, where the story is written has power, a new bible has no power cause it has not been around for awhile. in order for the book to have power it needs to pass through peoples hands for the people to give it power.
i also never had a feeling from a bible or other religious text from the text itself, it was always imprints from the people reading it and their beliefs. however there have been passages with power from these texts. as an aside: i am a agnostic who studies religions and history as a hobby (used to major in religious history when i was in school). |

I am a gnostic I read everything I can get my hands on. I dont think that is a devil book but christians might call it that or such but it has many rituals in it that pertain to many different things. I am not a follow of the golden dawn but I read every thing that I can get my hands on that is knowledgable.
