Calls to action! Which way do we go?

There have been several calls amongst members of this board to get organized and do something, Or at least suggesting that we should. So as a point of motivation, perhaps we should share our ideas on what we see as focal points or projects that we should get together on. Not all of us may agree, but that is OK. It will give a chance for like minds to identify each other, and form sub groups. Much can still be accomplished without major funding or the formation of official organizations. It can be grass roots and from the heart. Organic-ization!

Please keep your initial focal points short and sweet. No need to get into details until the subgroups form. This thread is just for a short, easy to read list for directional purposes only. Later other threads can focus on individual subjects and refine each idea into a workable format.

Example:

1) Plant food organically

2) Organize / build community

3) Prepare for infastructure breakdown

Etc...

I think we should prepare for the fall of civilisation, and going back to nature - learning forgotten skills such as agriculture, woodland and wildlife food resources, making hides and shearing sheep, using a loom, and living without electricity and gas etc, water filtering, and most of all learning to walk long distances and carry heavy weights to survive and the art of self defence.
These are very important for the future, this is what I feel.
I think people should get together right now and train for those basic survival skills.

Oh, and if we are sensible we wont need any funds to start this, just a campsite somewhere resourceful and not too protected as a nature reserve, to use our skills two to three times a year as a base point.
Or if at all possible a permanent campsite, like the iron age camps that are around England, where people live and work permanently or temporarily.

I've felt the same way for a while now, that I should be doing more but I'm not sure what to do. The problems I see in the world seem to stem from low levels of consciousness so I've been trying to raise my own consciousness and the levels of those around me. I've wanted to be more aggressive in helping others but a quote from Jesus often comes to mind: "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Coming from this idea I've centered on my own spiritual growth and helping others in similar situations. Boy howdy, it ain't easy to bring light to someone who doesn't want to see. To come to a point, which is actually a bit different from what I originally intended, I think our actions should be mainly removing the planks from our own eyes and those who ask for help. We could start a message board! Oh wait...
Though I'm not sure exactly how to do it, I think one of the best uses of our time would be to search for others who are spiritually aware but don't have any support.

Raven Mother, that sounds like the way I have been living for years. I agree!

Calibas and Rug, I also agree. If your action is self preperation, then you are all you need to do that. Good fortune.

Belobog is an unknown quantity at this point
I am currently "acting" if you want to call it that. I am hoarding precious metals for when the economy fails. I also am supporting nationalist movements in Eastern Europe. There will come a time when the NWO will be destoryed.

While we are waiting for everyone else's opinions, here is something that everyone can do to some extent, where ever they happen to be at the time...

I agree with Eals that is the way to go. By being myself I play my part, just by being myself I am fullfilling my role, just by being me.

In life I have found many people tried to hijack and take over my path, try and convince me, and sometimes even force me, through fear to do what they are doing.

So I feel its important to do what I wanna do. with the ideal being geared towards love , peace and Unity.

Unique Self Love

In regards to the link you sent us Zen, I agree that it is a good idea.
I used to grow vegetables at the bottom of our garden a few years ago, but mum saw fit to rip it all up for an ornamental pond - so I then suggested to use the troffs in the front garden and mum said - no because everyone else will nick it, and I asked her why is that a problem she just said - because... that was all she said.
There was no reason why no one can help themselves to it - it was just her own greed and sentimentality of owning things.
I am lucky to live in the part of the city where there is a lot of green verges and green space - and at the cul de sac there is a big green with a willow tree and on the side of the cul de sac is a big piece of over grown land, which I wanted to put some potatoes there as they grow fast, but I heard something ridiculous about asking government permission - i also wanted to plant somethings in my local woodland, like more blueberries etc for the wildlife, as the animals there looking quite thin.

What I absolutely dislike is the fact on land you see that isnt being used, or places such as woodlands, if you are doing something productive like growing food or bushes for wildlife, you shouldt need permission. You should only need permission if its destructive. I think it should be allowed purely because its a contribution to the wildlife and country you live in.
I even heard something ridiculous that you need to ask permission to harvest blackberries and weeds now.
