Down the Rabbit Hole...
There are days that don't seem to belong to the usual linear sequence of time; days that just don't fit.
It is on days like this that you look at something you've looked at every day of your life and realize that you've never truly seen the object before; days when you can see through the illusion and see things as they really are.
On these sorts of days it is as if I have fallen down Alice's Rabbit Hole. It is on these kinds of days that Wonderland is more real to me than the world that my senses perceive, but I find that my sympathies lie not with Alice (who asked for the adventure and then moaned and groaned througout the entire thing) but with the Cheshire Cat.
Like the Cheshire Cat I find myself becoming very still and encompasing all the possibilities that the day has to offer; such wonderful possibilities that I can't take anything seriously and the world becomes a marvelous place indeed.
~~~
I wrote the above weeks ago - but today has been the ultimate skewed day - so skewed that I thought I should 'share with the class' so to speak.
It began normally enough - alarm clock ringing, shower and dress, so, and into the car. But then something twisted - there is no other way to describe it, and I began to see things that JUST DON'T FIT! Street signs that have never been there before, people in my email contact list WHO I'VE NEVER HEARD OF. Turns in the hallway that I swear weren't there last week. Just little things, nothing major, but enough to make me stop and stare, or trip over the welcome mat that I was THINKING of buying, but didn't, or finding the shirt in my closet that I was looking at on the website, but didn't buy - or did I? Where am I? At least I can still find IS. Is anyone out there?
It's almost as if I am seeing two realities superimposed over each other. One that is - and one that almost is, or maybe both are.
It's kind of hard to know how to interpret something that that over the net... If you know what I mean.
But putting all of that aside... Cool! I mean yeah, you're clearly going insane :-P But it's a small price to pay for a trip down the rabbit hole!
But really... Congrats on waking up in a singular day, I'm sure things will go back to normal all too soon :-)
Just guessing - but I believe you may be discovering the true nature - and purpose - of your family's Big Black "invisible" Cat visitor.
Perhaps you're seeing the "true" reality, and not the one that your mind creates for yourself everyday? (ever seen What the Bleep?!?...the concept of our minds creating a "comfortable" reality each day...that's where I'm going with this)
I know the feeling that you describe, though, and it is unnerving, to say the very least!
Thanks...I think  I know what I'd think if I read someone else writing this...but what can I say? It started about noon yesterday - and I'm still "there" (wherever there is). Nothing is looking quite usual - there were dried leaves on my bedroom floor when I woke up this morning- don't have a clue where they came from because I just vaccumed on Sunday and don't wear outdoor shoes inside the house and I haven't opened the windows lately due to the cold. There is a brand of wine in my frige that I've never drunk before (and I do the grocery shopping) and I couldn't find some of the clothes that I would normally wear to work - had to settle for a different cut/style than I remember buying. Oh yes, and when I got to work I had received an email from my thesis advisor stating that my revised graduate paper proposal had been accepted (I don't recall having revised my proposal - I looked at his attached memo, and there were changes I had been thinking of BUT HADN'T MADE YET).
AAARGH!!! It's as if I've suddenly skipped over a bunch of days, no, because all the days are the same. It's more like I went BACK and changed a bunch of stuff and now suddenly everything is like it would have been IF I HAD MADE DIFFERENT DECISIONS. Does that make any sort of sense?
Bizzare - and disturbing - because if I can do it with these little things, what else am I capable of?
You think? Weird, that would account for the dried leaves. Oh yeah, the most disturbing of all - my husband WASN'T THERE when I woke up. Nearly freaked out because the Van was gone, as were his good suits and briefcase. He called me about half an hour after I had gotten up to give me his hotel number, seems he had been scheduled for an educational conference thanks to a contact I had introduced him to (I've been meaning to, but hadn't yet).
Jesus, can it get any weirder?
You know what's really weird, the only thing that is making any sense right now is the computer - the internet, and specifically Indigo Society. I remember everything that I've posted here - no unusual posts or responses etc. All my documents are right where I left them - all my passwords are the same - all my work files are still in their proper spots. Its the personal stuff - the home environment and things pertaining directly to me and mine.
I love What the Bleep?!?
But is this the TRUE reality, or simply ANOTHER reality. Though if I can learn to see the different realities - or even figure out how to manipulate my realities (which I seem to be doing, however inadvertantly) perhaps it will give me some insight as to the true nature of reality in general.
*insert confused but resigned emoticon here*
definitely keeping me on my toes - I just had a complete stranger stop me in the hall and talk to me as if they'd known me for years or something. Have to keep my mouth shut until I know what it is they're talking about!
Heh - maybe i should check my bank account - no chance that I suddenly became ultra wealthy without realizing it, you think?
Anything like the Twilight Zone? (I haven't watched any real TV since 1991).
♥ Repeat Of A Previous Offer - This Offer Will Not Be Repeated
I believe that ALL realities are "real" PERCEPTION is the trump card in all this.. You are NOTICING what you had previously ignored and have developed the habit of ignoring. Until now. Another level of Awakening.
You will become accustomed to the newer perception but you may ALSO become aware of one or more new entities.
Search IS on ORBS.
My bet is - your guides have arrived.
You DID ask to be set free didn't you?
Sliders was a 90s sci-fi tv shows which was about a guy who made a device that allowed you to travel between parallel universes. But he couldn't control which one he went to and he lost his own universe in the first episode and the rest of the series was about all his adventures in other worlds, but always trying to get home home.
