I relate to alot of what you described...

I sometimes get those kind of thoughts but i guess i have adapted to focusing on only on what is going on around me. Seeing every action as a performance and every situation the highlight of the plot. While it is important to be concerned with the condition of things you can't let it somehow consume you. You are only one human, you cannot hold the weight of the world on your shoulders just yet. You can accept the world as it is and make effort try to transform what is around you. Project how you want to live to others, start slow and progressively you will begin to live the life you see for yourself. Hope that helps something.

nate you should be telling us how to cope man, i know u have ideas, ur a pretty good visionary and a realist, I know its overwhelming, how can one person feed millions, or make the change to shift our global priorities, I dont understand how humanity as a whole hasnt done this already, we are the richest Country on the planet, yet our school system is in the pooper, more and more cuts to the fiscal budgets each year, teacher salaries at a all time low, cutting music classes and the arts, our vast homeless problem, our veterans coming back from bullshi% wars who are only around 25 with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, turning to alcoholism to cope because of a lack of proper care by our own govt, the global energy crisis, global warming, decaying oceanic reefs, plastic in the oceans, dude I could go on an on, I wish I had the answer, it almost seems out of our control now, IDk if we just now have to resort to making sure our loved ones are cared for and ourselves or what, we need more think tanks to help solve this mess tho,anything is possible, we just have to step up to the plate and initiate. our planet needs strong minded thinkers like yourself, at least thats my opinion

And why don't you vote? I feel like it is the most important thing to do because of you whole statement written above. Those who lead us don't represent us. If we all vote for one person and the other wins then it is obvious that the shit is fixed and if that point is made clear to the masses then that would force a revolution in politics, hopefully a new system.

People were saying the same thing in 99 and voted for Nader instead so we got Bush eight years. Now look at the U.S. if we are even still the U.S. What I am saying is it's not about jerk on the left or right it is about the point. How can we say the government doesn't care unless we prove it to every U.S. citizen so it is clear as the sunshine that we have been played for suckers. There is always a point to be made by remaining active in the system, besides later we get to say,"I told you so" but if we retreat nothing is proven thus nothing changes. If Mcain wins this election when it is obvious Obama is the winner we have shown for sure that there is a monopoly running the system. After that we need to prove that a 2 party system is b.s. and after that then we might have a chance for a new system. The only chance we have now is civil war and personally that would defy my principles.
