Here is a list of my own personal philosophies of life, or the philosophies of people I admire.

Here is some of my own.

Do not complain about things you own or do, because everything in your life is chosen by you. Even your health, relationships, job, possessions... everything you have control over; If there is something you dislike in your life or you are having a bad patch, this is because you are not being consistent in thought or action or both, or you have waning strength in those matters.

You need to set goals in your life or you will lack motivation, live life by the actions you want and not by thinking about those actions or planning too much about them! Thinking about them is not doing, and if you think too much fate will intervene. FATE EXISTS ONLY FOR THE IDLE.

life doesnt make you do anything... events and other people do... what everyone needs to understand is to rise above it all and do what you want... no one and nothing can control you - you are in are full control of your own life. You just got to be brave, strong, and not be afraid to get or do what you want.
Become less focused on material things, and think of emotional and self gratification first. Things like friendships, family, support, fun, self satisfaction should be higher on your list than wealth, fame or a career. These last 3 things is what most people want, these 3 things does not give you HAPPINESS, it just makes you more powerful and have more things... when in fact if everyone rise above the government and do what they want within moral reasoning they can have anything free of charge, because currency would not and should not exist.
those who cannot see what I am trying to say, are looking for an easy way out of their own life choices, unfortunately for the best things in life, there is no easy way, for a hard life there is an easy way.

Because easiness is harder than hard work, as strange as it sounds. Sit back and think deeply to understand my words, look into everything, do not just see the flesh of what I am saying, go deeper into the veins and bone.

I agree that happiness comes from non-materialistic pursuits, anyone can buy something they want if they put their mind to it....but this does not buy happiness! True happiness and fulfillment in life comes from the heart. Love brings joy and happiness to not only the person giving it, but everyone around them!

Working hard almost always brings misery and suffering if there is no real satisfaction behind it. If we are not doing something in which we give or receive love, then we look to material things such as money or possessions to give us short term "happiness". This is just illusion, it's very saddening that the majority of "modern civilization" is trapped under this spell. Only activities in the MODE OF GOODNESS will elevate us into bliss and true, lasting happiness.

We have complete control over our lives here because of our CHOICE to be here. This does not mean we can do anything we want without repercussions.
The universal powers that be always maintain balance, for every action there is reaction, this is universal law. Since we have free will, it is our choice on whether we choose goodness over evil. we can raise or lower ourselves accordingly. IE. karmic reaction. Choosing wisely is key, using our minds only goes so far. look at all the inventions around us, where did they get us? However, being guided by our true selves, our spirit and soul, GREAT goodness can be achieved. There is no thinking about it, just doing. I cannot even count the amount of times that amazing things have happened in my life when i was still, listened to my soul and did what I knew i SHOULD do. many times it wasn't what i thought i wanted to do, but in the end, it was the right choice.

I do good because i choose to. I am not rich, have no fancy cars or a huge bank account. I own no house and am not famous. Yet I am highly respected by everyone in my life, have friends in which i love and get loved in return,am happy as well as satisfied at the end of each day. Why is this? I dreamed of a life like this since i was a child, every day I worked not towards money, fame or power, but towards my dream in which i always dreamed. To love and be loved.

Me of my, I do not think you wish me to look into the bones of the words below. That is if by bones you mean their inner possibly hidden if it is that they may have such meaning. i think I will listen to the words you are so fond as to leave on the bottom of your posts about " Sceptics do not need to reply to any post they disagree on, because we've heard it all before, so don't waste precious time! " Now I can agree with Silas for what that is worth.

People only ever see the skin or the flesh of everything, and are not consistent with depth.
this is what I mean.

that's bold assuming people only see the outer meaning as in the material objective world and never see the spiritual meaning as in the inner subjective world. Perhaps it is that words written with a presumption none will see their inner meaning create something with little or no deeper meaning. Perhaps the energy of the presumption blocks anything but what is presumed from being seen. Just a thought.

people generally only see the cover of things and not a deeper meaning. I am not saying everybody is like it... a lot of people make presumptions from basic words too, which cause misunderstanding... it is rare to find a deep thinker, to the true sense of the word.

oh, it would seem that language plays a role as it is a cumbersome tool for communication as well as the energy that is carried on the wings of the words. Could it be that those who think deeply have learned to hold close what they think or see as acceptance of such thoughts is not always pleasant? ROFL, I will again direct you to those words you have chosen to place at the end of your posts. What might they mean to you for what they say to these ears is I know it already and if you do not agree just be quite and do not waste my time with your thoughts.

What about family responsibilities? I've always felt like a free spirit and at my happiest being in positive surroundings. But, at times in my life I've felt held back because of a need to support my parents. At this time, me, my partner and children would love to uproot and start a new life elsewhere, more than likely another country where the pace of life is more laid back. As my parents are elderly now I feel an even greater sense of responsibilty to be close at hand.

Has anyone any thoughts on this?

I opened this thread to open eyes, not to argue with people. If you do not like what I say, I am not forcing you to read them... so as you get upset with some things I say, I suggest you do not read them... life is too short to get stressed!

I am not upset or stressed. All I was hoping for was some insight to my own situation. Sometimes I get the gist of what people are saying but the wording in some peoples texts I find difficult to apply to my own situation. I was trying to learn from this, not criticise. Sorry if you read it this way. I am just better at putting things person to person, when I'm face to face with people.

Sorry Helen, you read my post wrong. I was replying to Spiritazz, with the quote I put there.

Do not misunderstand, there is nothing upon this earth that you may do to upset me, my only point is that to not agree is not necessarily to argue or get upset. I was curious as to what you meant by what you wrote in relationship to open discussion. Your words seem to say you wish for discussion as long as it agrees with what you think. Your answer below supports that so thank you for your honesty and much love and light to you.

I agree to some of that. Relationships, and what happens to us health wise, we only have control over some of that. The only person you can control is you. I am thinking that is your point. I know I certainly did not ask for a heart condition, two broken bones in the last two years, and I did not ask to have PTSD because of abuse as a small defenseless child, and as an adult. Relationships for me, are to the point of where there is either respect, or none at all. Those with none, are simply kicked to the curb, so to speak. That is the only part of that , that I can control. As for what someone else does, that is impossible to predict, let alone control.

This is true in all the religions that adopt the concept of Karma (or guilt in the Western religions) and it is completely negated by the sacrifice of Christ.

Your ticket has been paid and punched. The cost of your Karma has been absorbed by The Covenant. You CAN transcend superstition.
