I have heard that, if you go to a park or a forest which is not part of a nature reserve or protected by the government, it is not illegal to grow flowers and herbs, fruit and vegetables there as long as it is deffinately a native of that part of the country and not imported.

So, I was thinking - why don't you find out whether or not it is legal to do that in your area? Start a seed group, take lots of seeds with you, go out into forests and plant things to eat and which will help the nature there thrive. Because you never know when you need that secret stash!

I am going to do that, as I heard it's not illegal in Britain, and I also heard that a state in USA agrees to it too, but I dont know any other states or countries that this is legal in!

I would like to start a group in UK, so if you are from the UK lets plan to meet up for a camping weekend, and plant some seeds in nearby areas, or make a regularly meeting seed club!

This is a very cool idea. I know that in Missouri they will let kids come in and plant natives on field trips...why not this?

The idea of the seed group is that only you and your group know where the stash is... because of looting problems which could be aroused if the worse case scenario happens regarding 2012.

There wont be any food there within days of the problems if its a well known area for farming. hence why I suggested forest, and isolated places.

do you have your cellar full of food already for 2012?

people would loot even other peoples homes violently, people in the city cannot risk to do that unless they have a base way out of the city which is detatched and isolated.
I have a base where theres resources, over 85km away from London and 40km away from the next major city. Only me and 9 people know about this place, it's very well hidden, the land is bought by 1 member of the group and its so vast and sorrounded by isolated lands that, it is very unlikely someone would go there.
