    snakes, bears, lions, and others

I have had dreams of snakes since I was very little up to this day.
I have only been bitten once by a snake in a dream, it was a very small snake that I was holding and it bit me on the hand,
I have dreamt of little snakes, big pythons, huge serpents that look like chinese dragons in form , except they are serpents. I have also dreamt of dragons.
I have dreamt of a massive flying serpent worm, twice.
when I was very young and about 8 or 10 years later, I dreamt of it again.
I was looking up at it, and it was flying in the sky, and it looked down at me and just stared at me. It has a docile kind of wise expression, big brown black eyes, the scene always seemed to change, and didn't continue.

In the past months I have dreamt of bears, lions, and sometimes cheetahs and black panthers.
I have never been attacked by any in the dreams, except maybe sometimes felt apprenhensive that one was going to attack me if it caught me.
The animals would just be around, wherever I went,
Sometimes I will just be in the same vicinity with them, and not be afraid, just fascinated, and sometimes I would feel like I was trying to walk away from them and get to a safe place in fear that they may chase me.
I have looked up various sites on what snake dreams mean etc, I was just wondering if anyone had something else to add,

You have to work out your own symbolism, but... I've always had animal dreams, usually they speak..years ago I dreamed I accidentally kicked a snake and it chased me, I ran till I was knackered then hid under my coat. When I eventually peeked out there was the snake, waiting patiently; he said "I only wanted a chat" Now funny as that was, alot later on I figured that it was like a representation of my kundalini energy wanting to grab my attention.

LOL I've never had a snake talk in a dream yet, thats funny,
    "I only wanted to chat,"
I have dreamt in cartoons, if that counts.lol
yes the kundalini energy came to mind for me, I have discovered that years ago, still have constant dreams of snakes, I know they mean power and ancient wisdom.
bears mean strength, but could indicate Russia.
Lions could indicate England but also strength but also obstacles.
Psychological Meaning: Lions are usually a regal dream symbol of power and pride. In a woman’s dream, it may represent the male aspect of her psyche. A Freudian interpretation may consider lions to represent the powerful and admired aspect of the father. It may also symbolize your ‘animal’ nature or your aggressiveness and will to power.
well, I don't have a lot of faith in Freud

Mystical Meaning: In the Tarot cards, the Lion is a symbol of strength that can be controlled by gentleness (symbolized by a woman dressed in white). Astrology tells us that Leos, the sign of the Lion, are gregarious and like to be the center of attention. Perhaps your dream is saying that you are displaying these egocentric qualities?

    Any other interpretations are welcome

Eugh! A perv with a penchant for wishing society was as f****d up as him!

I have a set of 'animal totem' cards, they're fantastic, better than my tarot in fact!
I can't remember who did them (Stephen somebody) but will find out for you if you like. Meanwhile I found this for you http://www.linsdomain.com/totems.htm

lol@freud wishing society was as screwed up as him
    awesome, Thanks Onlooker,
I just browsed that site linsdomain.com, will ck out more later.
I have looked at totem sites before but didn't get into it, I am not sure why,
maybe i wasnt ready for it, as weird as that sounds.
The snake one is dominant, so I am sure it is a totem.
I Feel close to doves. plus dolphins and rabbits and have dreamt of those several times too,
we have nine totems, so the rest could be part of that nine, or some are helpers, pastlife connections, messengers, or gifts, interesting stuff.
ok, cked out amazon, I think I might relate to those better, I got Thoth Tarot cards and don't really like em.
Thanks for ur effort Onlooker, much appreciated
