I think it's the yin and the yang effect. You have to know bad to know good...
You have to fight to love. You have to cry to laugh. You have to live to die. The beauty of opposites....
What do you guys think of fighting, violence, hostility and the rest of it?
I been thinking about this seriously for a long time and can come to no definite conclusions about its benefits, uses, purposes in universe. When I have a question I can't solve I look to nature for clues and I see violence but some part of me thinks that violence is wrong.
I grew up fighting. As a child i got into fights, as an adult I had my share of fights. I find myself with conflicting feelings about it. A part of me is disarming and I dont know how to take it. The fire is changing its nature. a part of it has to do with how I deal with myself lately.
So what do you guys think? I'm sort of hoping one of you can point me in a direction that maybe I'm not seeing.

You are the wisdom, the power, & the light you seek. All answers lie within.
Its a violent world, and sometimes violent measures are called for, this is reality, especially in a transient town...sad but true
I stopped fighting violence because it only inspires greater violence. I focus more on being pro peace. The subtle difference seems to have a more motivating effect on reaching my goals. I do things that inspire a peaceful and harmonious outcome.
You get what you think about whether you want it or not.
Hearsekid, Have you become a Mason now?
I sort of got it on a workable level. If i live in the moment and take in the moment and trust my inner workings without projecting its a nonquestion. I attempt to live this way but sometimes my intuition inspires me to do some crazy things but somehow they always work out. So maybe having an intellectual rational understanding of it is not the best way.
Trusting spontaneous guidance reminds me of martial arts and the ART of fighting. Non projection, fluid, spontaneous, responsive, willing, present. I think i answered my question.![]()
Thank you thank you
This is why I want to study Aikido, they promote non-violence, and their martial arts is based on guiding the attack rather than opposing it, it's a good philosophy.
“The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for."
You ever read the Aikido book?.. the peaceful warrior I think its called. I have it here somewhere. Its a great book i recommend it. I lazily practice Hung ga kung fu. I prefer Tai chi to Aikido but thats probably due to me being more familiar with the Tai chi system.
The best part about martial arts is that its like whine, the longer you let it ferment in you the more it becomes.
Nope not a Mason Errthang
