    Indigo Characteristics

I am so glad I came across this post..I have noticed characterisics about my son, all my boys look like their dad..except for one, and he is a twin, and does not even look related to his twin, in fact his twin is the spitting image of my oldest son. My very cute Indigo child has very large eyes, the colour is a very intense blue. He never has had a cold, flu, only chicken pox..he has had accidents and has never had any bones broken, which is amazing considering the bad falls he has taken. He also does not seem to feel pain, or the cold..we live in Canada where it is always almost cold. He also does not seem to require much sleep ( not good for us) he's the last to go to bed, and the first one up. His twin brother , as well as my other boys come down with colds, various viruses, flu's, every winter, he has not had even a fever ever, or sick with anything, which is kind of unusual.??

I'm glad I came across this, too!

    * I have allergies to dust, pollen, mold, animal dander, ragweed - pretty much anything that comes in the spring, summer or fall, and then it's dust in the winter. Sometimes no amount of allergy medication helps, but I find that Stinging Nettle in capsule form is an excellent natural remedy. It doesn't always work, but it usually helps a lot. I am also allergic to cinnamon - severely allergic.

    * I have severe asthma (triggered by almost everything - activity, certain scents, allergy attacks, etc.) that required daily medication when I was a child. I then outgrew it for awhile, but it has returned in the last few years, again requiring daily medication. (Better meds these days, though!)

    * I was always sick as a kid, usually asthma related, and had bronchitis and pneumonia at least twice a year. But then and now, I never get a fever, and even when I feel my worst, I never look sick. Also, since I've gotten older, I am sick for far shorter a time - colds never fully hit me, and usually illness goes away after a day or so. My doctor keeps trying to get me to have a flu shot (which will never happen, mainly because I have an insane fear of needles...and doctors) but I never will - everyone I know who gets them always gets sick...

    * Also as a kid, my eyes were large and bright, but the color was almost black. Since then the color has changed and they now go from light green to the color I had when I was a kid, depending on my mood and what color I am wearing.

    * I have a higher-than-normal body temperature, and yet my hands and feet are always cold...

    * I am affected by weather changes - high heat and humidity make me ill, cold makes me feel like I will never be warm again, and when it's rainy I get extremely sleepy and sluggish. Sunny days energize me, and some rain is ok. It's never a happy medium, it's always a moderate to extreme reaction to the weather.

    * I have very narrow hands and feet, and long fingers, legs and arms. I'm really short though - only 5' tall. Hehe

    * I have pretty dense bones - the only bones I ever broke were toes and that was because I'm also a huge klutz. But even after bad falls or some dumb move that caused me to whack into something, I usually get, at the worst, a nasty bruise or two. And I bruise easily, sooo...

    * recently I was diagnosed with adhd, not sure how I feel about that, especially after reading so much about the alternative ideas about it. I admit I have tried some medication, which I take only when I feel the need (not often, maybe once every six weeks or so), and while I feel like it makes me super-focused, it doesn't do much as far as stifling me...I can't really explain it properly - For instance, the other day I sat down and was able to draw and write a lot more than I usually can and complete more than I usually do in one sitting, but I also didn't study for my grad school entrance exam like I had hoped to do! LOL

    Hmmm...can't think of much else!

    Late here...but here I go...

I am near sighted, I get migraines, I see "splotches" in the sky, my ears ring a ton, and I am very sensitive to the "cold."

I am extremely sensitive to bright lights at night. My feet get barely any circulation and are always freezing. I have to warm them in a bath at night. Also, I am hypersensitive to anything remotely spicy. Ketchup sometimes is too much for me to take. I don't know if it is physical or what it is (possibly relates to being an indigo) but when I see blue lights or colors in that spectrum, I feel a sense of calm and peace and it relaxes me.

personally I find this thread a bit confusing as being indigo isn't a physical thing, we are all different physically. Hence the myriad of different physical characteristics we are coming up with here. We may have some similarities but there are many differences too, I think the physical stuff is just the manifest of how we are transitioning in physical realm. We all have different paths and are at different stages of this - some may be closer than others but just remember, our biggest similarities are in our spirit not in physical self.

Yep i think being an indigo it have nothing to do with the physical body .

But i think lots of indigos can't stand NOISES , for me i can't stand noises at alllll not even people talking with a loud voices & i can't stand songs with people talking " singing " in them .
Its too bad that stupidity isn't painful

    Chantel

oh and vision issues too. I am nearsighted, but no one in my family is. I have heard alot of indigos are near sighted. Any validity in that?

I am 27 and I also have no wisdom teeth...... I feel them "growing in" but everytime I go for an xray there is nothing there.... so who knows.

I am always really cold but my body is always hot..... well thats what people say because I always complain I feel cold but they don't know why because I am hot when they touch me.....
I never get sick and never had a broken bone.... perfect vision ...excellent hearing......
my eyes are brown and lately they seem to look greenish and sometimes gold..... green if I have been crying......
....excellent "emotional" memory.... also memorizing anything comes easy.... my first memory ...well first "real" memory was age 6 months.... my mother is shocked at how much I remember like.... details of homes we have lived in or cars..... toys.... objects.... people.
REALLy bad headaches.... I guess migranes they make my whole body sick.... can't go in light and I get sick to my stomach when experiencing....
also..... I vomit ALOT .... for no reason... well.... I think stress is a reason... but ..... I worry so much I vomit people ask me all the time if I have either an eating disorder or if I am pregnant because I have a normal weight....
If I feel like I am going to get sick... or have been around "sick" people typically it lasts a short time and it makes my skin hurt... sensitive to touch.
No allergies and I am always sad in the winter......
........ also I'm short almost 5 feet!!! woot! ..... still experience "growing pains" like when your bones feel achy.... but I think that means I just need to drink more milk lol..........
    ........ sleeping..........
I can NEVER fall asleep........ my typical bed time for my whole life has been 1-6 a.m. and I try to sleep as late as possible depending on whats going on in my life with school/work.... I LOVE to sleep.... so the nights I can't fall asleep if I know I will only be able to sleep for a few hours I just stay up all night.... last week I slept for two nights out of 7.... hopefully this week will be better ;(

Maybe it does seem unimportant.... but I believe none of us are experts on this subject so I think everything should be examined and explored....even if it seems irrelevant. oh...i very much disagree with indigo not being a physical thing...look at all these responses, and how much we all have in common. all the people i know who are "not indigo" have none of these things in common with me. i myself have no issues with wisdom teeth (im almost 22). never broken a bone. sensitive to the weather changes, very sensitive to bright light, i would rather be in the dark. Some indigos have literally different blood than most humans, different DNA than the average human...there is an article i just read about a child who was diagnosed with aids as a baby, then a few years later, that child was tested again, and the aids virus was gone...children are now being born with DNA that as doesn't exactly classify as "human" as per old ideas of what human DNA is...and they resist illness...its quite amazing actually...

well I'm sensitive to light too have been since a child
I have a high pain tolerance - 2nd degree burns and didn't go to hospital for 3 days - they were dumbfounded as to why
I get tingles in my head on a regular basis and flushes / tingles down my spine
I am highly empathic and being around highly emotional individuals sometimes overloads me to the point where I have to sleep to recharge
I have high levels of static electricity and have been known to pop light bulbs
I sometimes see what Stuart Wilde calls morph worlds - rips in the veil
    have great night vision
have very pale skin - Casper was popular nickname at school
I have uncanny luck and have escaped many close miss accidents
sometimes my hands shake - tremor and sometime they get very warm
I have an affinity for crystals and love having them around
I have sensitive ears - sometimes get ear infections - had more probs with that as a kid
I get dermatitis on my hands when detoxing (heavy metals or chemicals).
I have a low body temp - about 1 degree celcius lower than average
I have a fast healing rate
I get cold feet quite often
I like to be barefoot, especially on the grass or at the beach.

I agree we do have a lot of similar physically - much of this stuff is transition symptoms tho so bear that in mind

theres probably more I have here but I forget

This is so weird, I just found this website and i finally feel a place of belonging. I used to have allergies so bad I had to take shots for them... my brother whom I also think is an Indigo has really bad allergies, last week I almost had to take him to the hospital because his throat started to swell up. We both have ADHD, I have this red tone to my skin, high cheek bones, people always ask me where I'm from because of my accent and when I travel the natives think I speak their language! Lets see, I see the dots ya'll were talking about and people always say I look younger than I really am. Before I got to college they always thought I was older, like older men would hit on me and I get carded way more now than I did then. In fact, when I was 19 they tried to kick me out of a moivie theatre because they thought I wasn't 17. Oh and I've recently realized that all my friends are either older or younger than me.
