I wasn't sure where to post this. I was thinking about my own thoughts. Introspection can fall under spirituality, right?
First I questioned why we are the way we are. I identified many factors, many problems.
Then I proposed solutions (philosophically).
I realized that politics and religion encourage us to seperate. They both train the individual to judge themselves and judge others. They tell us what is good and what is bad, what we can and cannot do. It is instilled while very young and is passed down from parent to child. Many people are disinclined to question this authority because they are too busy judging themselves, being subdued by their own percieved inadequacies.
People want answers and they want to belong. First they believe what they are told as children. Some realize that the system isn't quite right and so they search elsewhere. They might find a more suitable belief system that better fits their style and needs. Some will stick with that and others will still feel mismatched. The mismatched often turn inward to find answers.
This leads me to believe that Utopia will not exist in this reality (without "purification" which I am against...hitler wanted to purify the people on this planet and have a system that works, forced utopia is not utopia at all), because people are at different levels of awareness. People at each level of awareness, and the many shades of awareness in between, will resist change until they themselves acheive a different or new awareness that allows them to change (if they desire).
In conclusion, each person will come into full awareness when they are ready, and not a minute sooner. So in essense, there isn't a problem. We are all at different places in our current state of being. It isn't good, it isn't bad, it simply is.
Maybe some day a group of people will go into the forest and create a new civiliztion, with little to no laws and no organized religions. Creating a civilization that benefits from thousands of years of mistakes. Serving as an example how things should work. Then one day whatever country the land belongs to will carpet bomb the whole area because they labeled it a cult.![]()
i did that thousands of time in Civilisation 2 and Civlisation 4
A game hobby? or in real life?Im not familiar with it, any fun? I mostly play online games, but don't play that much anymore.
yes it is gamethe IV is really cool, it is really complete, you have to manage, city creation, science path, religions, economics, militaries, cultures and its really enjoyable
it start in antiquities with archers and warriors, and finish in 2020 with atomic bombs, planes and cruiser
but it is really well done, very complete, they started the series more than 20 years ago and the IV is really mature
![]()
It's a fun game. I usually play as the Egyptions. I play the old PS1 version though.
i always play the indian with ghandi![]()
the IV is really more mature, it involve religions handling and culture which was not there in previous ones![]()
Wait, is a video game stealing my thread?? lol :P
No worries, mate![]()
Um... No we are discussing different avenues of testing forms of Utopia before commiting RL players to it. *Arm is really sore due to how much that statement is reaching.*
yes civlisation IV for me is really complete enougth for being able to see different aspect of governening and managing a 'civlisation', of course it is a video game and it is really simplified, but there are really good ideas in it and it is really done seriously enougth for it to be interesting![]()
Is that to say we shouldn't strive for a better world or future? While I agree that people will wake up on their own I don't know how I feel about not trying to set up the conditions to help them wake up quicker. I personally don't think all of the suffering is necessary to come any realization other than how unnecessary it is. Maybe thats the point.
Great topic.
I think the first step would to get people to understand if the government doesnt work, its only because they are not doing anything about it. Yes sure, the elites will be pissed if americans take back the country, So what if they kill many of us with their snipers, hitmen and double black op hush hush groups. They are already killing Americans on a daily basis, but no one cares because its not them.
well somewhat i came to a point to think around the ying and yang concept, hitlers, colonialsism, various cruelty done toward human and animals, it all exist and cannot be removed from earth, if we want to find a balance, it is more in accepting and facing all the side of humankind than wanting to direct or push into one or other specific direction
looking at your signature, I wonder If Einstein was an ingigo...lol. You know he was kicked out of school for questioning the theory of the day, also the ball on the wooden floor would be a good indicator. I have never thought him to be that much more brilliant then most scientist, just good and in the right place at the right time.
I also agree with Hobby statement accept that we don't seem to be learning from the mistakes of the past. Also not sure of your ying yang thought, unless your just refering to balance, because ying yang does not refer to good and bad...but you probably knew that.
