Hello Darlings...

So sorry for the long pause in my getting to know everyone, but I've been doing some inner stuff and keeping more quiet these days...But I've read the boards and think you all have some great things to say. I wanted to bring up the topic of 2012, though I have seen this talked about on other threads...I'm reading a really awesome book called The Mayan Calendar: Solving The Greatest Mystery of Our Time by Carl Johan Calleman. This is a must-read for anyone interested in the subject, and especially for Indigoes...

The mayan calendar ties together the big bang, evolution, history, and religion in a way that is crucial for us to understand in this time. It's hard for me to explain, but I'll attempt to give you a central idea from the book, which is:

The ultimate reality is The Tree of Life (represented by a balanced cross), Consciousness (with a big "C")preceding form, we are spiritual beings inhabiting a "material" universe...the evolutionary devolopment of the Tree of Life is found in the Mayan calendar called the Tun. The Mayans had more than one calendar, but this one keeps track of the evolution of consciousness...and it turns out that the collective group of humanity has qualities of being like a large brain -- imagine a compass in the center of the earth, with north south east and west -- well, the people's collective consciousness is divided, by location, into north, south, east, and west....but is in many ways like the left and right hemispheres of the brain, or the midbrain and the reptilian brain. The Tun is 360 days, Katun is 20 Tuns which = 19.7 years, and a Baktun = 394 years, etc...you can probabaly find this on the internet somewhere...but basically, there's a cycle that starts in human history at around the year 3115-2721 BC, corresponding to Baktun 0. The cycle startign at Baktun 0 ends at Baktun 12, which is our day and age, the end of the Baktun cycle on 2012, or 2011??.... The mayan calendar has the qualities of light and dark, yin and yang corrensponding to the even and odd baktuns in this 12 Baktun cycle...so, that means that different areas of the world were developing different qualities, at different time, For Instance, the scientific revolution happens where the left side of the brain is dominant in european culture, while maybe a different aspect of consciousness is dominant in people somewhere else in the world....I hope this makes some sense, but that is what this book goes into and explains a lot better than me

Basically, what I can say, is that the Mayan Calendar helps to explain the developments of consciousness over time - - where you can sit back and say, oh, that's why christianity spread, or why Islam and christianity at are at odds now, or why people are nationalistic...it's so important to have a perspective like this -- and to live by this calendar, which takes into account time all the way back to the big bang. The gregorian calendar keeps us locked into the illusion of linear time, though, and that is what is leading us into chaos, collectively. Sorry if I have not explained this book very well, I'm still reading it, but I would love to know -- what do you feel about 2012?

I know that I have been very sensitive to the energies of these times, and I feel very strongly about following my spiritual path, over everything else...what this book is saying is that we feel this for a reason, and it is much bigger than us.

Dear Hawkeye- Having had numerous guessing discussions about this on other boards, I was finally clarified the other day, by a post from a lady in Australia. I felt what she was saying was very true on a level of creating the consciousness needed to move into this new phase of human development.

Funny you should bring up all the things you mentioned above. This information was part of a lightning-like awakening that happened 2 and a half years ago at a reiki session. Just given to me (or remembered) in flash -- this, with about a million other parts of knowledge, lol.

I have studied various forms of Kaballa over the years, and feel instinctively it has to do with this. However, as they say 'As above, so below' and I think on another level it feels like something to do with the alignment of galactic center as well.

In my journey I have been a very very faithful and disciplined student. In terms of reading and trying to educate myself, I have looked at spiritual teachings, the strict science of the matter and the two combined in the light of quantum possibilities.

Strict science will tell you that the Sun may have just indicated the start of a new solar cycle by the appearance of a "backwards" sunspot (an indication that the Solar poles are reversing and the start of a new cycle). This cycle is predicted to be 30%-50% stronger than the last one --BUT not as strong as a sunspot cycle in the (30's? 50's). This cycle peaks in 2012. A NASA statement.

The alignment with galactic center has been a bit more difficult to qualify scientifically. There is so much on the internet right now about this type of thing it would take a good day to see if on a strictly Newtonian level, we are about to line up in some fashion with galactic center as taught by people like John Major Jenkins. This however, FEELS true for me, because of the lightning/information/awakening.

We are using the Hopi Transmission in terms of preparedness: know your water, garden and community, etc.

Spiritual discipline seems to beckon us to understand the process of death as transformation of energy...UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. This frees the fearful ego into the realization that it is immortal and timeless and is important to do, no matter what! (I think anyway).

If we begin to see third dimensional consciousness as just one platform of experience among MANY, then we begin to see how in actuality, this manifestation is very strange and weird in many ways, in relation to the potential for manifested form and movement of energy.

This planet has been for a me an ascension point. A transcendence from dualistic thinking (INDIGO to me) to non-duality (CRYSTAL to me). To do so, I must understand the power of this NOW MOMENT at all "times". In that place alone I have found freedom from fear and the ability to practice creating my reality in reflection of the Divine WILL. True peace.

Seems a test of faith and a clarion call to go the deepest spiritual realization. Something humankind (especially Western cultures) on the whole has ignored for far too long.

Well, that is my input for now. Thanks for the discussion. A member wrote me and indicated a bit of fear regarding all this information right now. I hope this member is reading with us and can find some answers through this conversation.

Wow, I have such a strong opinion on 2012, that I can't even know where to start. Maybe I won't much!

I read Solving the Greatest Mistery of Our Time - The Mayan Calendar, The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness, both by Carl Johan Calleman and Galactic Alignment and Maya Cosmogenesis 2012, both by John Major Jenkins. I read a lot of articles, whatched a few videos, used the Tzolkin for a period and programed a Tzolkin date converter in my website (because most people use Arguelles' conversor, mistankenly thinking it's true Mayan).

I was trying to find out the perspective of the ancient Maya, but reached to the following conclusion. No one can really be shure, using traditional methods of uncovering history. Everyone sees things in a different perspective, and that's fine. But that's no Mayan, that's somebody's interpretation of it.

Calleman is on to something, but lacks much perspective. I could see his flaws. Jenkins is on to something also, and also with flaws. I tried to see common ground, but it gave up, because it's no use to me. Why was I focusing on this perspective, when I had much better sources to understand 2012? Is Calleman right and the end of the calendar is in fact in October 2011? Well, when it takes to the galactic alignment, Jenkins is correct. It's a scientific fact, and it will happen in 2012. I checked myself with the appropriate software too.

Please know that I'm not saying they're not worth listening. They certainly deserved my attention. I just made the choice of focusing my attention on more accurate sources, when they are available. But if you're interested, please read Calleman's research on the transformation of consciousness. He looks into the past using the Tun, to check for validity for the future. On the galactic alignment, our planet's North Pole will be aligned with the center of our galaxy, between Sagitarius and Scorpio, right in the womb of creation. If you have the opportunity of looking up to a clear night sky, see our Milky Way... there's a bulky area close to the horizon... that's the galactic center.

Can you imagine what the effect would be, when this amazing radiation will go from the North Pole, to the Center and South, giving incredible light to this planet? Take an orange and pierce a pencil through the center, to the other side. Now point the whole to a bright light bulb and see that light through the orange. That's what will happen! Massive awakenings and ascensions.

Thank you so much for sharing what you thought about Calleman and Jenkins...For so long now I have only heard what channelers or other people have heard from other people, that it was great to see what Calleman was saying. As for his flaws, or if 2012 is really 2011, I don't think it is important for me, something so technical...I also feel as you do that 2012 will be a shift that will be only the beginning...but it seems the factors involved will be quite far-reaching, requiring us to grow up fast -- that is my feeling about it, and I would love to hear your opinions on it one day

That is fascinating about the sun cycle peaking in 2012, and also your spontaneous awakening or downloading of information lol...thanks for sharing that. And the 3rd dimension is indeed strange and weird, it will be interesting to see if things get even weirder! But I also feel that spiritual realization and understanding we are all ONE is what we are here to learn....

But for this Galactic Cycle (Ethics), since 1999, all the 13 little cycles (days and nights of creation) last only 360 days now! So it needs to be accurate for the study to mean anything on these two last cycles.

The previous means that consciousness changes every 360 days, 13 times, and 20 times faster. The last cycle (Planetary Cycle: Power) started in the Industrial Revolution and consciousness changed every 19.7 years. Then, on the next, Universal Cycle (Conscience Co-Existence), on 2011, consciousness should change every 20 days!

So you see, this must be accurate for his work to mean anything to us, since we are dealing with very short time spans now.

Hi Solitaire, this is channeled information from Kryon (I believe I have seen it elsewhere also). Kryon says 2007 is the year the new children (indigos) will receive their plan. Like 2012, it won't be all at the same time, but more of a progressive nature. I'm very curious about this, because it seems many indigos will know what to do and that may give birth to massive revolutions.

Most indigos are dormant, waiting for their time. This will be it. Oh, I'm so curious also!

Wow, unbelievable. The thing is, I have lost about everything that has to do with my life here in this day and age, up until now. My house, 7 year relationship, my direct family, well too long a story and some other stuff. Funny thing is that it didn't bother me a bit (mom and dad hurt can't deny that, ok now though).

Actually in a strange way it makes me feel a lot better. Like a heavy load has been lifted of my shoulders. When the mourning process ended I started to find out who I am (I read a few perfect descriptions of myself on the www so now I could finally give a name to what had been happening to me all my life), then I found you guys (one of the best things that ever happened to me) and now we're about to find out what we're doing on this planet (that has puzzled me for as long as I can remember).

Things are starting to unfold.

This is soooooo exciting!!!

hello! the ancient Maya believed that in 2012 Quetzalcoatl would return with itzamna (itza= 1:iguana, 2:something like the manna and the food of the ancient greek gods). they believe that will be able to see the "itza" through the sky. but the itza is nothing less than our milky way! (incredible predicton-prophecy). we will be able to see it. to see this fantastic aura-blue colour (indigo). i think it will be awesome....
