    Lightbulb Spirit Guide Help

So I have been on a wiccan path for 11 Weeks now, and i have made a lot of progress and have a lot of witches and other people of pagan faiths saying that I am going to be a great leader when i grow up and all this stuff thats really good.
I have also found out that I am a hereditary witch, that explains why i feel things so strongly and all my turn outs are good and work except for the few times were i have played around and the karmic effect was not good))

But i had a circle a while back and when i first started my Spirit guide had told me it wasn't the right time to meet them. They gave me a lot of the basic info I would need and helped me learn and grow into a very good witch ((or so I have been told))

Than I had a circle a little while ago and I focused and broke threw and actually met up with my Guide.
It was a Electric Blue Baboon.
I know that the Blue stands for Power and Protection.
But I am not so sure what the Baboon is a meaning of.
I have talked with fellow witches in my area and I have come to learn that a Monkey is not a common animal to have.

Sorry if this sounds boastful I really do not mean for it to be.
But please anyone who can help me at all on this help?

((I would like to ask that the subject not stray from what it is, and that only those who can share info and help post... please don't spam, this is important to me.))

Sorry, just went to reference a book I have called Animal Speak by Ted Andrews and he has no listing for baboon... but I would still recomend the book for uses of relating animals to spiritual quest.

Have you tried asking your dreams? I find that helps. Do a visualization to speak with a guide, not nessiarily your spirit guide, but the one that can help you the most. Ask the signifigance of the baboon, and the color. Although the colors generally mean this or that, it is sometimes more personal.

Also, just because I am a studying Wicca, what is a hereditary witch, in your prespective? Who told you you were one?

I have attended Witchcraft lessons and have learned that a Hereditary witch is just someone who has a witch or a few witches in their family lines...
Hereditary witches tend to be those witches that have special abilities, like astral travel, seeing auras, empathy (thats the one i have).
They are also more sensitive to the energy in the circle and in spells and such than someone who just comes to the craft. I have had a few witches in my line.

Their are some who say their are no such things as hereditary witches, but from my experiences their deff are.

But all in all it just means that the witch is more sensitive and things may be easier for them.
Also it means that people in that line are witches wether they practice or not. So I am a practicing witch but my brother dose not practice but he too is a witch... its in the blood in a way...
    If that makes sense.

Again their are some who argue that that is not posable...
but from what i have felt and done in my time as a witch i would deff say its a true theory

So also in reply to who told me i am one, no one, I just found witches in my family tree some far off others not so far off...
But once i learned of it, i knew that was what i was

Animal Spirit guides are animal guides, it has nothing to do with whether you are looking for a wiccan or non wiccan reply. Guides are guides.

Well, a baboon is a monkey so totem guide qualities of a monkey still apply here I would think.

    copied and pasted :

    ----------
Thoth is sometimes portrayed as a baboon as he stands in the Judgment Hall of Osirus in the land of the dead. Ancient records say that four apes sit beside the Lake of Fire near the throne of Osirus. They listen to all appeals of the soul and judge it before it can pass into the lands of Osirus.

    Baboon's Wisdom Includes:
    Defense of family
Sacred to the God Thoth (God of wisdom)
Sacred to the God Hapi (God of the Nile

Imagination, ancient wisdom, agile mind, clever intelligence, increased powers of communication, insight, enhanced social skills, dexterity, curiosity, the ability to see things from all angles, adaptability, creativity, cunning, occult-mastery, grace, unpredictability, and right living on earth.

The Monkey possesses many virtues that are powerful and valuable and which any person would be wise to emulate or divine. One who has the power of the Monkey will see enhanced grace, wisdom, intelligence, energy, inspiration, dexterity and self exploration. The Monkey has powerful magic, the ability to learn things quickly, and they have keen intuition.

The Monkey animal totem is a strong spirit indeed and its magical properties equate to an influential animal totem. Solidarity, agility of mind and body, excellent communication skills and so much more can be integrated into the spirit of the possessor of the Monkey totem.

    Dark and Light

The Monkey represents the dark side of the human psyche,
but also holds the key to right living.
See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil.

The ability to see both the dark and the light may unexpectedly enrich and strengthen.

The Monkey totem is creative and imaginative.
It can lead you into a deeper study of the origins of the human species
and the examination of ancient wisdom.
Its agile mentality provides you with inspiration and insight when you most need it.

west ham... im sorry if this seems like im hijacking the thread, but i didnt want to start a whole new thread about guides. i hope you dont mind if i ask a question on yours?

has anyone ever heard of cats being guides? or watchers?
i'd really like to hear thoughts on this... my cat has been acting strangely, and when i meditate and ask for a guide to present themselves, she always instantly starts scratching at my door.

    thanks

well its just strange, last night i was having a lot of problems with too many spirits and not knowing how to handle them or shield myself properly. i was trying to rest and i kept tossing and turning. my cat was sleeping on my bed, and every time i woke up she'd have moved as close to my face as possible. this means that each time i tossed and turned and woke up facing another direction, she got up to nestle up near my armpit to watch me. she normally keeps her distance with me when i sleep lol sometimes i roll over and kick her and stuff, she's old and cranky. but she was doing something, keeping an eye on me. i'd wake up and she'd be nestled there, staring intently at me, as if to say, am i helping?

She is their to help guide you on this path, to watch over you. She is in touch with all the spirits that try and help you and she listens to them and protects you.

I can say that this will get stronger.
My dog has started coming up stairs scratching the carpet to get in when i feel ill or have trouble resting in my room, i stayed home sick one day and he curls at the foot of my bed to keep me safe.

she is definitely in touch, she's always looking around at things that i can't see. and when i'm meditating she rattles and paws at the door to get in and be near me. it's really sweet, i'm really lucky to have such a kind and caring little kitty. :3

she also looooves looking at my quartz pendulum, she'll cock her head if i dangle it in front of her and study it with the cutest expression. lol

you welcome about the info westham.
I understand hereditary lines. I come from one.
Do you know if hereditary can go back into other lifetimes too?
as far as I know, it can. just curious about what u think?

From what i have learnt, having hereditary lines in other life times makes some one a soul witch.
Which is jut someone born to the soul of a witch, so my theory is that if you were a witch in your past life, than your a witch for the rest of time.
Hereditary must be in that blood line... the one you live now.

Soul witch is almost the same, but you don;t carry the blood, you carry the soul.
    Both are equal.
    Both are beautiful.

and a soul witch may give truth to the tale of how the Goddess and God sent witches to the earth in the beginning to help the people.

I believe I may be both.
But I will find that out in time.
