I think the hello to new members are a break for the person who says hello to the newbie, because... the newbie is a fresh new person, with usually more calming and curious energies, which helps sooth others down.
hi everyone!
something just occurred to me. there are heated threads that go on for a while on IS. often times, people do get upset and emotional in these threads.
at the same time, new members are popping in with a hello or introduction. to take a break from the heated debate, one may reply to a hello. the reply could have pure intent, yet maybe the replier is bringing along negative energies from the other threads.
i don't know much about this type of energy, what do you think? is it possible?

DONT DREAM IT BE IT!

Don't live in fear of words alone, live in fear of the actions behind the words or what may happen if those words are never uttered!
I believe the negativity in the threads is very controlling and I am not a person into control. Am not reading anymore in the thread from today...just praying for df as I,m sure this is very stressful to him.
Dude you're a jerk. People are trying to post their ideas and thoughts and you post a picture of someone not even in this thread!!
I think you only feel emotions in threads if you let yourself feel them.
ok i know what you mean, and yes i think it is possible 100%, it is linked with your state of mind, you read something that impact you, you are impacted, and you carry with you this energy, if you don't know how to 'clear your mind' between two postswhich i have been doing quite a lot lately lol it is like mind state switching
nooo i'm not skyzophrenic![]()
NAh he's the jerkoff for starting this crap...tit for tat...eye for an eye. limb for a limb.
>_>;
*hugs you*

maybe we're all being a bit too vulnerable when we come here? we think we can let down our walls, but then we forget to shield when something negative (a relative thing--one person's "irritating" is another person's "fascinating") comes along.
maybe we should spread the word on shielding techniques? it feels weird to encourage "insensitivity" but that seems to be a good way of not letting stuff get to you. this is the interwebz after all, there's no reason it should wreak havoc on one's psyche. i've been there, years ago, and one has to learn to let things slide. just channel gandhi or something.
