I don't believe any of it anymore.

I don't believe that anything will change much in 2012, no anti Christ, no Satan, no world wide Apocalypse. I just don't any more. Decade after decade there seems to be a new and improved version of drama and fear mongering and I cant reasonably buy into it any more.

Sorry. About all I do believe is that humans will continue to be fascinated with anticipating fear and feeding off the rush of drama and chaos.

If I follow the SECRET, and I do, it makes more sense to intentionallize a world where folks notice what works, and what is good. Nothing changes if I continuously pick at the wounds of fear and perceived injustice. Nothing.

I believe that clever people will engineer creative solutions to climate change and young people will take more responsibility to live within their ecological means.

This is my quantum leap, my epiphany.

Nice epiphany! What good does it do to believe it any way? All I can gather is I should live life to the fullest, prepare for the worst, as in learning ways to live simply.

I have a friend who lives in major fear about it. An amazing woman who is a mom and soon to be wife, with so much going for her and she lives in fear of 2012! NO matter what I say, what I send her, she wants to live in fear. If it weren't this, it would be something else.

When I watched the history channel Sunday and wasted brain cells following the program on Nostradomus and 2012 theory I kept thinking, "What is the answer? Why all the maybe's?" I was annoyed and when it was over what good did it do? It wasted 2 hours of my night when I could have been on here wasting time <snort>

Theta, I really like the way you think!

I believed the 2012 thing for a very short while... then, it started to bother me that so many people believed it.... I got over it..

Now, my biggest fear is that the US is headed for a severe depression.... and no one is going to know how to cope!

I am hardly a follower of hype and nonsense, and I see where you are coming from.
The fear mongering, instilling hopelessness into people.

    However,
There is going to be a big change in the world, just not the way people have said or contemplated. 2012 is not the end of the world. The heavens are not going to blacken to doom. People are going to be in unity and resources will be available to an extent that is only in the imagination right now of fellow men.

Other than that, I remain silent. I guess I look a little nutsy now but anyway.

Not nuts, idealistic and hopeful. I'm teetering on my idealism as I type in general regarding life.

Me, too. I tried the "If I ignore it and not believe it, it won't happen", but when I peek outside it's still there.

I'm not sure about 2012 indigo dog. I have had a dream about it about 6 months ago (I just posted a thread about it as I felt it could kind of relate to what you are saying here). I do belive and have sinse I was a child (with many dreams) that there will be big changes, in this world, in my lifetime (especially to do with celestrial events/changes, and weather changes...). I feel sure of that (but am open that it may not be true, but I doubt that).

I find the 2012 stuff very interesting, but I don't totally believe what is said/written about it. I am open about it. Some believe that if ascension, pole flipping, 3d to 4d does happen, that it will happen slowly, and some believe that it will happen suddenly...

I would like to be open to my own intuition on this.....

A few times, I have thought, should I go to study again, is there any point if what is said/written about 2012 is true? I have made a descion, that I will go the way my life is flowing, let it flow, do what I feel I want to do, and be open to my own intuition. If I think/see/feel that I have to change my path/route along the way, than I will.

When I said there will be a change for the better, that is in the further future, in the near future, there will still be a coming severe depression in USA, and in the world.
It would be ignorant to pretend that it isn't impending, and careless not to prepare for it.

I'm definetly wanting (and getting the feeling) to put money aside for emergencies (and I told my mother a week or so ago to do this, if she can), and have even concidered getting some bottled water in and some long life foods, but especially the water, just incase. So yes, I feel myself that some prep is good, but when it comes to 2012, I just want to take it as it comes, and if it comes to me to go live somewhere else (specific) or whatever else, then I will cross that bridge when I come to it....

Here some talk about total depression in the world, and I'm afraid, if there will be no changes, there will be destrutive depression.
Without changes world is going to what Ray Bradbury has said in his book "451 Fahrenheit". Human society needs shock therapy.
Allmost every night I have nightdreams there will be changes.

I'm not an idiot. I've spent most of my life preparing for anything. I even taught a survival course. I'm prepared and always going to learn new ways to better the planet.

The thing is, that I find I have spent most of my life happily distracted by the drama of an imagined doomsday, instead of living a full life. I squandered it. How can I honestly say that I'm living in the now when I'm clearly obsessing over fears in the future.

I'm not emptying my brain or anything. I'm just choosing not to invest any more time on the negatives.

nobody can agree on what will happen,

and nobody can be bothered acting.

and if that's the way people behave, then nothing will change.

indigos waiting around for 2012 to 'ascend' but doing nothing to help the planet and humanity with the gifts they have are wasting oxygen. people are going to die today.

well, not sure who you are aiming that at, but I wasn't saying you were an idiot, or aiming comments in your direction.
I was generalising about the masses needing to take into consideration for possible comings. better safe, but at the same time no need to obsess literally either as you say.

I sympathize with your mindset, Blue Puppy. I can't help but feel that if any changes actually were to unfold within the time frame of 2012, their impact would be relatively minor in comparison to the absolute global implosion everyone (especially the History Channel) seems to be anticipating.

If anything, I'd imagine the date might create a more spiritual mind frame for many individuals, but besides that, I really can't get a feel for these epic doomsday fiascos. It seems like everyone is desperately grasping at straws, trying to find apocalyptic prophecies within everything from random phrases in the Bible, to vaguely drawn doodles from Nostradamus.

No Rain, my love, I'm aiming at the people who I've been chatting with lately. The ones who are so addicted to the drama of panic and fear that any hard evidence I've tried to offer to the contrary has been shot down.

I'm sorry if you felt I attacked you.

I do feel a little like the TV is punking any horrific possibility to get attention and ratings.

My main trouble is that I got sucked into it. I feel guilty for buying into the hype. I know a lot of my problem stems from having OCD. It was a great disorder to have when I was researching stocks. When I sold all the stocks I switched to researching planetary disasters. Just feeding the addiction of my own drama.

Crap, I need a new hobby.
