I saw it in an obscure reference to a secret society, although research into it has led me to a dead end, hardly surprising!

And it was my hope that someone on Indigo would know something about it as i can't think of any other people more likely too! I'm just interested in it's history etc. Or anything to do with the symbology, anything to help me learn more about the symbolism, and my real hope is that someone can provide me with information about the society who uses they symbol!

It did remind me of a trident, but they are usually portrayed the other way up aren't they?

Interesting about the tree of life though, could you tell me more about it please?

    Peace.

Is that a crude drawing only?
I Remember seeing something like that somewhere, but a little more elaborate.

It is called the trident symbol of enforcement, but that is the upright version. and not what you are looking for.

The upside version, like your pic, I know it is a symbol of sexual ritual. It indicates where the ritual will take place and for what reasons.

About the secret society, I am not sure, but apparently it involves ritualistic sexual conduct and may be linked to satanism, the satanic groups probably stole it from occultists. So, yes, I will say it is linked to satanism these days.

    hope that helps.

It is just a crude drawing, i was unable to find an internet source which had the detailed picture in it.

Thanks very much for your ideas, personally the source i came across linked it to an 'illuminati' like order. A shadowy conclave that exerted its power throughout Europe, i am not sure if satanism is involved, but it is interesting that the symbol has those connotations.

I found them like you depicted. So what is your interpretation of what you read?

This is all really interesting everyone, thanks so much.

Could you possibly give me links, or references of where you got your info please? Esp. the Atlantis info, that sounds very interesting.

With the Old norse idea, i though the rune for Yew was Eiwhaz?

And Thanks so much Rain that symbol is really close, i wonder if the symbol im looking at is just a modern derivation like you suggested. Where does the sexual symbol originate from?

No. I was making a joke about the sexual ritual. ( I was a little horny at the time and thought it was hilarious.)

I'm curious to what it is all about now...

Harlyn, I don't know where it originates from.
I read it in a book at home, and home is half way across the world right now, so I cannot check further. If i find anything else, I will pm u.

Looks familiar, but I can't pinpoint it. I'm pretty sure it's a letter or a symbol of some long-lost dead language. It might have even been part of a few different ones due to borrowing... That's just what I'm assuming, I'm not that great at tapping into past lives yet.

    I'll be looking around
