I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours

I am getting ready to get another tattoo and just curious about Indigo body art.
This is one of my tattoos. This one was done with a single needle prison gun.

I have a winnie the pooh floating away, carried by rainbow balloons. Its on my shoulder and it hurt so much to get, I am afraid I will never brave another.

Its funny, my sister and my mother got a tattoo at the same time. Our own little excursion together. I kept asking my sister, does it hurt? She kept telling me No, not at all.
After she told me it hurt like a son of a bitch, but she lied so I wouldn't chicken out. LOL
Mine says, "l love you, John" in a circle around the tat, an omage to Katt's father.
Since we split, I have considered changing it to "I love your Johnson"

That's what I am really curious about. All my tats are deeply personal and carry meaning to me. I am thinking on a sacred symbol for my next one, an anklet with the symbol on my foot. Not sure what yet though

My sis has dolphins jumping and swimming around her ankle.

My mother has a bunch, she is 67 now and got her first one when she was 49.

My brother has a string of thorns around his bicep.
    To Joe:
A nautilus shell is an amazing example of sacred geometry.

A friend of mine has a snake going from her ankle, entwining all the way up her body to her neck.

What is a single prison needle? Is that a tool used in jail?

My pooh bear has no meaning other than my capturing my beloved teddy. So I can continue to carry it around like I did as a child.

I think any body art has to be special to undertake. What is it you are trying to express? There are so many sacred symbols.

    Beautiful wings! ^^

I have a couple tattoos. They are the only ones I intend on getting. The symbol is very special to me. I just realized while thinking about them, I never knew what it could be called, but I think it can be called a Zome. Zome, is not the name given to me at birth; that is Taylor.

hm....very interesting and thought-provoking symbol, that.

    key hole or...
    sun rising over pyramids
    ?
    one of those wire-puzzles...

powerful place to have them, too.

a single needle gun is called a "prison gun" and yes, the way that prisoners get some of the most amazing artwork. I am awaiting the right design, something that expresses my spirituality. The one I took the pic of is a "my life" tat and the prison gun was a very appropriate choice for me.

I love those palm tats, Zome! So nice and very original. How did you come up with the design?

That Angel? at the bottom is very special to me. I don't know why exactly, but I like it a lot.

I wanted to have a tattoo on my palm, and at the time, I was trying to figure out a symbol that I would always find significant, or at least, its meaning would never out grow me. Therefore this symbol had to represent creation/existence in its entirety. A symbol for Ultimate Context. It can be interpreted and seen in many different ways, therefore its meaning is not fixed, but always adaptable because it attempts to symbolize 'Allness'. It came to me one day when I was doodling on some paper, and once it came out, I never looked back. The symbol in my avatar was given to me in a dream recently, which happens to be somewhat of an "adapted version" of the original symbol.

I see everything as a symbol, to me they are the language of the universe. Tattoos can be wonderful in this way, as they express something that is always unique, because the meaning behind each one truly is Infinite.

I love all the tats here! I agree about Danniis angel. And I love your wings, cj. The detail is beautiful. I dont have a camera with me right now but I will post pics of mine whenever I get to a camera again.

I love everyones tattoos! I have wanted or been thinking about getting one for a long time. When I was 15 I wanted to get a big kabbalah tree of life done on my back. But it was like 1500 dollars and well my parents said no. Its probably good they did, even though it is a very good symbol, and I do enjoy kabbalah. Something smaller would probably be better.

I don't know what I would like to get now. There are so many things...
