It's only called the Devil's bible because some monk painted his portrait in it.
The Codex includes the entire Latin Vulgate version of the Bible, except for the books of Acts and Revelation, which are from a pre-Vulgate version. Also included are Isidore of Seville's encyclopedia Etymologiae, Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews, Cosmas of Prague's Chronicle of Bohemia, various tractates (from history, etymology and physiology), a calendar with necrologium, a list of brothers in Podlažice monastery, magic formulae and other local records. The entire document is written in Latin.
I'm sure the book is interesting, but Jeez, the video is sensationalist crap. It's designed to play off of one's fear and emotions. I think they're so used to doing that on television the producers don't even realize it. Reminds me of Fox News.

I now want this book for my collection. I have been contemplating learning Latin. Medieval texts such as this is my main motivation. What years is the Chronicle of Bohemia about?

No big deal, companies think they have to do that to make it dramatic and to keep the viewer interested. They probably do it because many think history is a dry subject.
