High Tech 21St Century Greener Vertical Farm Garden Skyscraper Cities Concepts

Wow now these are revolutionary type of concept designs of the 21St Century that are allready being worked on by developers and engineers I realy love these these building designs are awsome and wild. But through better advanced technology of the 21St Century though WOW::::....!!!!

The striking concept for the Cor building in Miami looks like swiss cheese but on closer inspection it is a very clever building. Oppenheim Architecture + Design came up with this distinct exoskeleton which provides building structure, insulation, shading and cooling. The most stunning feature is the roof where advanced turbine technology is incorporated into the building structure to utilise breezes off the ocean. Additional features will include solar panels to utilise Miami’s sunny climate, the use of concrete made with fly ash (a waste product of coal power plants), all bamboo floors, special programmed elevators that reduce energy use, recycled glass tiles in bathrooms and of course highly efficient appliances and fixtures. It is set to be completed in 2009F.

Tall buildings that maximise their coastal locations – sounds like a perfect idea for the Gold Coast.

Now in its fourth year running, the eVolo Skyscraper Competition takes future-forward architecture to its breaking point, unveiling a stunning array of new structural concepts by architects, engineers, and designers. The latest crop of entries is up, and Daekwon Park’s Symbiotic Interlock goes far beyond the standard skyscraper to envision a total renovation of inner-city infrastructure. The pitch: it’s modular, prefabricated, and completely symbiotic on the existing vertical infrastructure of the city.

Skyscrapers are one of the modern city’s most ideologically charged structures. Dominating the skyline, they captivate and articulate a wealth of ideals while anchoring a city’s social fabric. As the world’s population increases and cities stretch to accommodate it, these structures will become increasingly important in sustaining this massive influx. Out of necessity, they will have to evolve. eVolo Architecture was founded in 2003 by a group of international architects in NYC and hosts a yearly contest dedicated to rethinking the skyscraper in radical new ways. The only requirement: “Designs must be technologically feasible and environmentally responsible.”

Architecture firm TR Hamzah & Yeang have designed a stunning eco-skyscraper called the EDITT (Ecological Design In The Tropics) Tower. Set to be built in downtown Singapore, the EDITT Tower transforms the usually cold, impersonal high-rise into a man-nature partnership that will actually help improve the environment.

The 26 story tower will have over half its surface area covered by organic local vegetation. Solar panels will generate up to about 40% of the building’s energy demands, and human waste will also be converted into an energy source via an on-site bio-gas facility. Further adding to its autonomous sustainability, rainwater will be harvested, and a grey water system will purify and re-use waste water. If all that’s not enough, the EDITT will be constructed using recycled and recyclable materials where possible.

The future is looking more and more sci-fi like. I think it is possible to live in a Star Wars setting. No?

well my "atlantean nemesis", rulf, i preffer the architecture as constructed in the past, why people have to live one on top of another if land is enought to have a house farm size for oneself. anyway they say that raata gave architecture after the 13,000 years ago catastrophe. so keep trying

I suppose that eventually humanity will need them if they keep destroying resources... Not getting very good feelings from it though... Anyone else actually look at the tiny chicken things in the first one? I mean it's probably no better or worse than conditions today but that just isn't cool...

Well I am letting people know that there's an even better way to achive technological advancment of the 21St Century and still keep nature within the balance even. Within the most heavly populated area with new and empoved tought and ideas for the future we can do this even now if we just act upon it accordingly in this matter:::::.....!!!!!
