I haven't had that experience but I do have experiences of that to me feels like time can be messed with kind of like something has turned time back and altered things slightly. Also my friend had an experience which may help explain. She was walking into her flat a guy from the flat next door was walking in to and held the door open for her and when she walked into her flat the same man but in etheric came through her door - which was closed, she believes to make sure she was in safely because in the next instance three men with baseball bats came in his flat and started smashing everything up. So maybe you can astral project!

Happened to us when we were driving one night. A flaming neon, red colored arrow shot out from under a bridge and positioned itself 1 inch from the winshield. Once positioned, movement around us stopped completely but we were moving in the vehicle..we could hear the motor running. It was probalby a few seconds and that arrow thing whatever it was, shot out towards the mountains and we proceeded to move forward. Is there such a thing as "time standing still?"

Jayare; I have had the same perceptions on and off since I was small. You're right - it can be rather disturbing.

I've had the impression of things around me speeding up - but more often for me things around me slow down while I continue on at a seemingly normal pace. So I'll have completed complex projects or projections or analyses or whatever in seemingly no-time, when for me its been (seemingly) hours! It's great for my reputation, but it can be exhausting after a while - I mean, here I am doing multiple hours worth of work or research ON TOP OF my normal work day. Weird.

I am most disturbed by the instances when things around me speed up and I continue on normally. I've lost large chunks of time doing this - when I was younger I had a reputation for "spacing out" when this would happen, and my mom thought I was on some sort of drugs. Actually took me to a doctor for analysis - everything normal. I HAVE had this happen while driving. Ended up in my driveway with no idea how I had gotten there (on different occasions I would end up at home when I had been planning to pick up my daughter or get groceries or something like that). It was like my mind took off on a jaunt of its own and my physical body/brain took over and steered me on the best-known path (to my house) - you know, the one most deeply imbeded in your brain synapses.

Unfortunately it happened to me once on the subway when I had first started riding it. I was staring at the way the lights were flicking by and then I noticed that the lights were going faster and faster and I couldn't really hear anything but a sort of blurred roar - I ended up three hours, two lines and six stops away from where and when I was 'supposed' to be. Lot of explaining to do on that one.

I feel like time can be manipulated, unconciously and sometimes conciously too. There have been many times when time seems to move faster or slower. A second is almost never the same as the next. It might seem unsettling if occasions like that were isolated, but my entire life has been like that--time being sort of warped.

Anyone ever see "Star Trek Insurrection"? Great example of manipulated time.

The quiz says indigo, but a photo taken in 1999 says white with rainbow edges.
I experience warped time too - that is, I notice that perceptual time and sidereal time ("clock time") aren't in synch for me. When I'm in a rush to get out the door, it's like the clock is running much faster than usual. I perceive 5 minutes having elapsed, the clock registers 15.

When I'm at work, stuck behind a cash register, wishing I could go home, it's as if the clocks all have slowed down. I'll perceive 20 minutes as having elapsed, and have done what seems like 20 minutes worth of thoughts, but the clock might register 5 of those.

One time, when i worked for a lumber company at night, I somehow lost a half hour, it's as if the clock just skipped over that time and left me behind.

Seems time and me have a strange relationship. Just recently I've had prolonged experiences of time stopping on the clock but not my perception. I usually have a good sense. I meditated this morning for what seemed like 30 min.....and 4 had passed. I opened my eyes b/c I wondered if my alarm failed to go off....it was.....odd.

I had an experience where I was hit by a Transperth Bus - big nasty things, when I was on my pushbike (he was pulling into a bus stop and didn't see me) - I was a bicycle courier at the time, about 2 seconds before I got hit time slowed down, I was riding alongside parked cars on one side and the bus was on the other so I had no where to go. I think the time slow down gave me enough time to gather and reflect to work out a way out of it, I realized that if I hit the parked cars I would be a goner - bouncing off them and under the wheel of the bus, but if I hit the bus with my handlebar angled back the impact of the hit would send me forward and possibly clear of the parked cars. As it happens it worked, the bike launched me about 5 meters through the air and I landed in the space in front of the parked cars with just a few bruises and scratches. The bike however wasn't so fortunate, it got dragged under the back wheel of the bus and got folded in two and then flung up into the air over my head landing about 1 meter in front of me. I was on my back at the time and I remember thinking - thank god that wasn't me. I often think my angels were involved in that one and it was a sign to stop my career as a bike courier.

That story, and the manner in which it was told, was freakin AWESOME.

    Time:
We wear it on our wrists and mount it on our walls.
Blocks of time segment our days, telling us-
    what we should be doing...
    where we should be going...
    who we should be meeting...
    when we should be leaving...
    Time off.
    Time out.
    Bath time.
    Lunch time.
    Bed time.
    Lifetimes-
    spent and gone.
Hours and days and years wasted,
    Never to return.
