A Facebook Campaign for Free Hugs

This is a campaign from Facebook that I would like to extend out to everyone here that is set to run Sept 10th noon to Sept 11th noon, so if you see strangers hugging out there, you know where this comes from!

Has anyone heard of the Free Hugs Campaign over in Sydney, Australia?

Well, a man named Juan Mann belongs to this society called Free Hugs. The creator of the society had this idea. An idea that everyone needs a hug. It makes you feel good. It reminds you that not everyone has lost themself in the twisted world of today. It brings you back to a simpler time when you didn't judge, fear, or hate.

Why should anyone who believes this philosophy not share it with the people around them? Well, the people in this group are those who decided not to hold back anymore. Well, as for Juan Mann, when he finally started getting public appeal, his Free Hugs were banned by the city of Sydney. So what did he do? He petitioned and fought back until they were no longer illegal.Smiley

many people are quite defensive about hugs I have noticed

I think that's a society based thing, a society deprived of hugs is quite often fearful of intimacy

for the more defensive types a simple pat on the back or the arm helps break tension

human touch is a powerful thing
