Not the opposite of dark workers, many light workers have to be knowledgeable in dark work in order to offset a conflict with it that may proof beneficial for their community at large. All energy is used with intention, dark and light. . They are people who work with various spiritual and earth energies for healing, etc--work from the heart and from the highest good which may not always seem good at first appearance due to the nature of the laws of chaos. They come in all shapes and sizes and personalities and have a great deal of understanding about the human and spiritual existence.

Well not really its more of a dedication to bringing healing, and enlightment to the planet rather than taking out a flashlight and playing with it. Considering that a great many lightworkers have changed my life profoundly I regard them with more awe than simply dabblers.

The darkworker nonsense aside, none of these actually define lightworker, but are only traits of some lightworkers. This is like asking, "What is a musician?" and being told "Someone who plays the violin." What about the guy who plays the piano, or the drums? Or the spoons even? They're musicians too.

Lightworkers are any number of things, but the one thing that ties them all together is their light. If you have light, you're a lightworker, whether you yourself are aware of that light or not.

So what is light? It can be any number of things. Life, death, destruction, creation, however it manifests. A person's light can mean that they search for answers and then teach their findings. A person's light can mean that wherever they go they leave a strange trail of destruction - maybe shedding light in dark places. Hell, light can even mean that you're a normal person who doesn't do anything particularly spiritual or noteworthy, but you being here enables these forces to do what they're meant to do.

If you're asking this question, you're a lightworker.

I didn't mean to imply that it was insignificant or something you took up for an afternoon. I was more meaning it's something you *do*, by comparison to something you are born as and would be regardless of what you did in life.
