yeah yeah yeah, i heard ALL about them about 5 yrs ago, when I was a member on a different board.
The DivaCup is a popular one, i actually looked into it.
I think that it may be a little unsanitary, though. You have to wash it in the sink, so if you were in a public bathroom, people would see.. and i've heard of people spilling them. Also, what happens when they get too full inside of you, and you can't change it immediately... most tampons have an antileak backup core, and the string captures the rest..
but, would the cup become heavy and tumble over??
I'm interested in them too, as long as they are sanitary, don't hurt, and are convinient. I heard a lot of bad things about them, though... from the girls on that board, at least. They were just doing it for enviornmental reasons.

p.s.
i might try one with you, though, lynx.
Just the idea of it kinda grosses me out, and is kind of embarrassing to be honest.. but it may be worth the try!!
I've been debating on using one for years, I've just never gotten around to it.

I need to go to bed.
I have one but have yet to master it (it is really big, i have the moon cup). GladRags are a good option. They're cotton pads you can wash. If you think it's gross, that's fine. But it's part of you. All cotton tampons are a good option too. They don't have any chemicals and you can find them at places like Whole Foods.
