don't allow private messages

For all you newbies this is a warning to not accept private messages unless you know the person you are allowing messages from. I have only had one other posts besides this one. All I said was a brief "Hello" and now I get all these random messages (private) about my 'stupidity' etc.

I have not talked to anyone or argued with anyone or said anything "stupid" so obviously there are people around here that just send people pissy messages to try and upset them.

If anyone knew a thing about Indigos they wouldn't dare piss one off.

So unless you want to be extremely upset and leave the community on your first day, you may want to screen private posts from only friends you have made.

I understand completely. Someone left some kind of message on my profile, calling me a "newbie", which I suppose I am on this board. No prob, though. I just deleted it. For the record, if there are those here who want to leave me a bunch of rude private messages, go for it.

Sometimes PMing someone can be worthwhile, but I have noticed occasionally you can get the aggresive sort of PMs or people who try and befriend you but never let go, especially after a really bad argument with them. some think you can forgive them after they've called you 1000 things under the sun and then act like they take the pee out of you.
Other people are just so random, such as trying to get you to join those teams, or brag about how big their ego is.
it does get tiresome but I dont think that you should never open your messages again, you could miss out on something boosting for yourself. If its a negative message or whatever try and delete it from your mind.
I know its hard, especially when people seem to know what buttons to press.

hmmm yes this is weird - I have never received such a message myself so it's hard to comment - perhaps you should report these users to an admin - I think it's a bit rude to be attacking users just as they join the boards. Really we shouldn't be attacking each other here at all. If they have to send such messages private instead of airing their views in front of everyone there's certainly some kind of devious logic behind their motives.

thats wierd coz alot of the main posters have posted here saying they didnt ever recieve such abuse and im infering these guys wernt the ones dishing it out. hmm.

I believe there is a group here who is friendly openly on threads, defend themselves well when challenged but ultimately not so good. I think there are many groups here etc. It shouldn't be laughable.
But this theory should not cause any divide.
It should make you stronger in your stand for your own beliefs. Any negativity aimed towards anyone here, should be taken as a pinch of salt from a tantrum of someone very ignorant.
Always remain in the know that you are always right in your ideas and beliefs, never allow yourself to be swaded into believing you are wrong, mad or stupid.
I know some people here are trying heavens hard to get me into their group, as they say I have a warrior spirit etc. I do think you should becareful in who you speak to, but also do not be afraid of people who are open about them having their own teams.

well I have never got any private cabal messeges, but I have smelt/felt/heard some stinky energies on ocassion, hehe.

I dont hate or have bad feelings towards anyone on IS,I wonder how my words are percived sometimes, such is life.

At the end of the day, its how much Love is radiated/expressed by a person, not what they say or know, that for me is the highlight of any commuications I experience.

A sence of humour is handy.
