    Death

This ad goes away when you register.
Has anyone else here witnesses or experienced a lot of people in their life dying, I mean - not just dying... I mean right in front of you they die, you see it, you may even have nursed them to it?

Because in my life I have witnessed a lot of death.
Accidents, murder crimes I always seem to be there when it happens as a witness, its happened a lot since I was a kid. The first example of this was my dog who died in a car accident - then my sister - then my dog again - then various other people leading right upto this date.
When I was 11 I had to nurse my grandad in his cancer with my mum and he died whilst I was there too.
Another murder when I was 15 I was witness to, the amount of violence at this time didnt shock me despite him being my cousin who died, because of the kind of life I had when I was growing up, and the amount of death I was subjected to, so around 15 I started to become (how other people describe as) cold and unfeeling, unmoved and inhuman.

I saw another 4 deaths leading up to the last death. Which was this morning.
After years of keeping myself away emotionally from people who I like or love, the situation came to me again, forcably, in a way I wouldnt imagine it to.

There is a guy at the end of the street who always liked me etc, but he was too close for comfort for me to wanna establish any relationshiop with - Mum woke me up - because some guy was in the road injured and lots of ambulance there pumping his heart. so I went to see with her, and I noticed it was this guy who I used to play with as a kid a lot.
They fought for his life over 30 minutes but he eventually died - again, I was unmoved and that. I am only sad that I wont see him marching down the road like a He-man anymore doing his high fives with his mates, and talking to me about the latest in wrestling.
He was very young, just a year or two younger than me.

The point of this post is... who else here have witnessed a lot of death in their life?

Because I think it determines the kind of future you will face - and all this is a preparation for those terrible future events.

I feel very sorry, for the guy who died, I sense you partly loved him and he did love you.

It is horrible to face so much death but it is a sign to understand the insanity of death and unreality of it, after all ------- there is the Life in the heavens where we return to after the candle has burned out, and there will be a huge reunion with your freinds and family.

I'm not sentimental but thank you for your words.
When I die I reckon I want a fresh start, I dont want to go back to people who I lost in my life.
But maybe thats just me, I am not one for a lot of emotional flaffle - I am a bitch and I am cold I am aware of this.
But I cant help who I have become.
I will miss him because he was the only one who understood my passion for wrestling in a non-sexual context, I see wrestling as a serious sport and so did he, he even had ambitions to be a wrestler and used to train hard in the local academy which is going to be closed soon as UK government is banning wrestling.

I've had some death in my life but not to the extent that you have RavenMother,
maybe it is trying to tell you something,
when I keep having things come in my face it means to me that I need to face it.
Death is not the end of life, it is just a part of the cycle in Life,
Death is a part of regeneration,
think of the way everything appears to die during winter but is reborn again in springtime.
Sometimes we can create new life from destruction but only love is the true source of creation and of life, death and rebirth.

Perhaps this is supposed to prepare you for your eventual responsibilities to the children?

it's just an impression i have after reading this, maybe there is something to it, maybe not......i think there might be more purpose in this than getting you prepared for the future drama perhaps you're supposed to do something, like guiding the souls or making a way for them to leave the physical body.....i have in my time of being a nurse and in my family/friends seen a lot of people on their way to death, for some reason nobody ever died in my presence, but a soon as i went out the door they would...now i think that might be related to the healing gift i have, but that is aside the point! once one had died, we sort of performed a ritual of cleaning the body, closing the eyes and open a window so the spirit can leave(we adapted it to the circumstances of once death)! so i think maybe you're supposed to do something like that...can you see spirits? if not, the "cold heart"(sorry not sure what exact words you used) might keep you away from that, you closed that door so to speak, maybe it's time to open it up again...maybe not, you will know what's right/best for you!
