How to know if you are a real Indigo?? Pls give me some answers...

I have doubt, lots of it. I think a lot and all the time, and I ask myself why I am here and why things happen in the way they do. and eventually, i give up and attribute things to fate, or God?

I have just known about this Indigo thing recently. at first I was so excited as I feel as I am one of the special people. I have found some articles about Indigos and their characteristics, compared to my own and found out that i have most (or all) of the listed ones.

I still have doubt. how this Indigo thing was discovered? how to really know if you have psychic abilities? I think i do but it is so unclear.

by the way, i just turned 20 a few weeks ago and the discovery of Indigo generation in my life could be a late birthday present that gives me more strength and direction for me in life as sometimes i am really lost. but having all the listed characteristics of an Indigo doesn't mean i'm one, does it?

In my opinion, even though we might possess exceptional power, as we are here to change the world, and the world refers to the human society in the first place, i think it may be more appropriate if we try to mingle, not to separate (isolate) ourselves as "the New Earth". i think we have the capabilities to get to the top of the society structure and change it both bottom-up and top-down, so why do we have to avoid it just because we dissent the rules or something like that? we should also act as an example for others as we are not usually tempted by sex or money.

Personally I think 'being Indigo' is an energy thing...
when it comes down to it, who really cares if one is Indigo or not,
it's how you feel inside.
we ALL have 'specialness' inside of us, we are all unique.
Indigos have just come in with a more open awareness of what is Upstairs...
just as the Crystal children came in with more and the Rainbow children being born now are even more connected...
then again most of these new children are brand new souls, they have never been incarnated on earth before.
we are 'system busters' and 'wayshowers'...
Our 'job' has been mostly unseen but things are about to change!
I may identify with being Indigo but I am more than that... I also carry a lot of Crystal energy and I am a Starseed... I do not come from this planet.
Try not to get hung up on the label thing, for we are all spiritual beings having spiritual experiences in this human body, to me that's the most important thing.

hey, we're the same age, i had doubts too, but those doubts came from my mind because in my soul, i could feel that i was an indigo. i always felt it, even before i knew what an indigo was (only recently discovered the term). it's the feeling that you know there's something more, something beyond what you can perceive with your five senses. but i know that everyone, indigo or not, has the ability to know this, it's just that indigos i feel are born with just a little bit more clarity on this that then develops and allows them to bring this clarity to others.

don't worry about the labels. just be. i don't think indigos are trying to separate themselves. atleast i'm not. i come to this website to connect with other indigos bc in connecting with them, i come closer to figuring out my self, you know?

this chakra test is kinda fun, i did it and got a result that didn't surprise me much. my third eye chakra is the most active one, even a bit overactive and the root chakra is under active. i think u guys also wanna give it a try.

I agree with spurlark, 'cos even b4 i found out about this Indigo thing, i had always felt special and different from other ppl, i still do, it's just my mind that is doubting, asking for evidence. from my point of view, if being an Indigo means the color of our aura is indigo and over 95% of the newly born children from 1990s are indigo children then it doesn't make sense to me as why would such a large portion of the new generation be indigo? we need a diversity to evolve, to develop, right?

I also think i got some of the characteristics of Crystal, anyone can tell me what that means?

You sound like an indigo to me. All indigos have the ability to become crystal, I feel crystal energy quite often now. Now that the trail has been made it only makes sense to join the crystals in the world we forged. Just try not to think to much and let your instincts take the wheel. It can be an aimless journey if you don't follow the right path.

First, welcome to IS, also, happy belated b-day! I too just recently found out that I am an indigo(an early one) and I have all 25 'characteristics' and that really helped me put my life into perspective. As far as 'try to mingle'-and I assume you mean with the 'normals' as I call them-I've tried that, but 'they' just don't 'get it'. Yes we are here to change things. We are the 'way showers'-atleast the early ones are as I've been told. I believe that your journey here on earth has just begun as you are/might be a new arrival indigo. Not 'tempted by sex or money', I'm not so sure about that, atleast in my case. Have fun in your journey towards self discovery. You might find answers to your questions here as there are many who have much to offer-as you no doubt have already seen. Oh, by the way, as to your question 'who sends us here' my soul told me-by way of a medium I highly trust-it goes where it needs to be at any given time, i.e. it decides, it isn't directed. chances are if you are looking for answers its because you are of a higher vibration and your subconscious is leading you to the information you need to know.

i discovered the whole indigo thing about half a year ago and since then my life has improved in almost all aspects. Ofcorse you have to apply yourself in a new way in life and make the most of your gift. By learning to work with the universe and not apart from it, you will begin to see reality refreshing and new. Life will take on a new meaning...

I had always known i was different in the way i perceived things and related to people. I see indigo as a savior of my sanity, something that finally confirms that im not just crazy lol. Dont get too caught up on the the word "Indigo", its an easy way to just label yourself and say ok im done but in all honesty most people who claim indigo havent yet reached that level of vibration but are working their way up. I had always thought i was just borderline mental and weird but since discovering my own indigo-ness and leading a more conscious and aware path iv built alot of courage to do things that i would be weary of in the past. Iv find that i am able to reason better and things that affected me in the past nolonger have the sting that they once had.

There are many websites that have great information on how to best lead a more spiritual path that actually can help you change your reality for the better. You have been given a unique perspective that if used to its potential can benefit you in ways you would never imagine. Try your best and remember that before anything else be happy to be alive in such an exciting time!

Greetings everyone. I just discovered this site as I am looking for answers to who I am, as I have been all my life. I had never heard of "indigo" before last month, but it all falls into place as I read about this phenomena...as if they are writing about me without using my name. I don't find labels especially helpful usually but I think this one could be. So now that I have this information I'm wondering what to do with it. Any groups that meet in the Orlando area? Ideas?

Indigo 'norm'= human. call a cat a dog and its still the same beast . dont get to cought up in what you think you are and just be what you are. If your indigo then you will fill your role in life and if your noth then you will do just the same. The reality is take the information you find here aply it take what you need and grow. I'm an "older" adult Indigo and only discovered it myself a couple of years ago. Many of us feel like we're misfits, but, on a soul level, we agreed to be here, in this time, when the world is in the midst of great change. Thank you for your courage. Forgive me for my terseness.

As psychically inclined people, we are more comfortable dwelling in our higher chakras. Higher chakras doesn't mean better. As Indigos, starpeople, lightworkers and what not, we came here to be in the third dimension to help bring it into the fifth, not to become enamoured of our "gifts" or puffed up with egos. To ground, to mingle with the natives, to work with our hands and hearts and just to be.

So go ground yourself by doing something physical, creative (dancing, singing, art, writing) gardening, building, or just being yourself. Dreaming about what we came from and what we are on the other side of veil does not help us in our work here.

I am extemely empathic, but I work at a 3D job in a challenging environment. I have learned to develop strong boundaries and to work on increasing my heart energy (and openness) for protection. Not to withdraw into psychic fanasties and games.

If I am a bit harsh it is only because I speak to my self, as well. We are Masters in our home worlds, but we did to master ourselves here in these dense vibrations and help to lift them into the Light and Love of the great beyond.

Before enlightment, one has to chop wood and carry water. After enlightment, one has to chop wood and carry water. So it is, here and now. If you are still in school, focus, learn what there is to learn in school and learn outside of school. If you are older, get a job. Dream your dreams. Live in the world, but not be of it.

Indigos are wayshowers and system busters. Some work from within and some work from without the systems. Find your way and dedicate yourself to it. Do not waste your time and gifts hiding away. Shine your light and love on all whom you meet, even if they turn away from you. You will leave an impression although it may not seem at the time.

Go in peace and find all there is to find in your own heart.

NO WORRIES, INNOCENT ONES - HERE'S WHY

Harkening back again to Alice Bailey and even our own Prometheus' comment synopsized; INDIGO is not WHO you are but WHERE you are. The place you have come to in the divine spectrum/rainbow of perceptual light for whatever purpose.

I have said it before - Indigo seems to be a place of HEALING - on all levels. There is quiet magic going on here. I have been honored to watch the love of this place melt the coldest of attitudes, the most stoney of hearts and turn on what SEEMED to be the most screwed-up minds to ever survive an awakening. Minds who are mentoring and teaching now. All this in less than a year on IS and yes, it just blows my old butt away.

This Indigo range of light seems to harbour some invisible kind of angels that just whisper Truth. One can deny the Truth but not the whisper. It's what they do, it's why we're here. I suspect that Truth contains all the various Indigo Gifts as well as the Individual Mission.

Sooner or later the old false dogmas dissapear into the shadows as The Light grows brighter. Fear is like rainfall - it must be pouring buckets somewhere.
