yah well i think so. i know skills can be remembered from past lives. can be remembered in meditation. and i think we often physically look alot like our past incarnations

I think they are all there - you just need to find the soul fragments "keys" to unlock those past life abilities - you will find these soul fragments within soul mates that you will be drawn to throughout your life of which there can be up to 3000 different ones. Each of the soul mates had a intimate connection to you in the past life and the way I think of it is that you traded pieces of each others hearts in that lifetime and this is what draws you back to each other. You will get this ahah moment when a whole bunch of things make sense to you at once and I tend to get lotsa tingles if I'm talking to someone who has a soul fragment (a soul mate). This is of course my understanding as I have pieced together different things I have learned.

I'd say- of course traits carry over.

everything carries over, we just aren't consciously aware of that (for our own good)

of course, some aspects of us, escp. the negative ones, are here because of other influences- lessons we still have to learn, environmental diffuculties, attachment to the ego, etc..

and as we progress we become more and more complete and don't attach to the traits that we do have, they come and go freely.

And I agree with Patryc, people we have spent past lives with.. seem to always hit us stronger and the connection in this life has more of an affect on us.

I think that's possible - in schizophrenia physical traits change the individual suddenly is cured of a disease or acquires one as the personality changes.

i had a client who had a trauma in his past life where he was stabbed to death over his heart.and until this life,he still have massive pains on his heart,done everything he can with the doctors,scans,everything..and his heart was in great condition.so i brought him back through hypnosis,his past life traumas and had him deal with it..and up to this moment,about 3 sessions of hypnotherapy,the pain is almost gone.

so yeah i think if there is physical traits or bruises,its mostly unconcious..cos like EALS said,its memories,its still there.

I committed suicide in my previous life. In this one im living atm, ive battled against suicidal tendencies for all my childhood/teenage years/young adult life. I believe our strong emotions/traits/passions carry over easier, especially if you reincarnate fast.
Without knowing why, i always hated my sister's husband... always felt very bad around him... and this is so unusual for me, because i tend to like everybody on first sight, its a natural thing for me. During a regression i discovered why i felt that way with him. He was my husband in my previous life, was very mean/violent towards me and the reason why i killed myself heh.

Anyways, i believe we carry over our strong traits, and also personal feelings towards others.

and yes, I'm talking about the soulmate. its all in us, the memories. Sometimes comes up, sometimes comes down. but you will always remembered the soulmate of your past, your soul will never lies. and it will be so connected.

I dont think we have the same traits back to our past, and must be in different bodies ofcourse , but we have the same thought, and karma. it brings lots of wisdom and learning in us.

Honest, I have meet a few of soulmate's here in IS. IS feels like home, bring connection to our past. I've found my mom, savior, best friends, and even a lover (you know who u are )

And I must be gratefull by this.

All/most of the replies I've read here remind me of what I read in the books 'many lives,many masters'(Dr. brian weiss) and 'journey of souls' and 'destiney of souls' ( Dr. michael newton). Has anyone read these books? Simply facinating. I believe that I am living an almost parallel life now as compared to my last life (in Bangladesch circa late 1800's-early 1900's). So many similarities-almost eerie. Infact something I said then I've said recently-almost verbatum! Also, I've been told that I have a direct connection to mary magdalene in that we both share very high enery levels-off the charts as I was told when I had an aura reading, I am honored by that.

Glad that you got things cleared up? Got the negative energies out during your regression. Sounds like things are going much better for you in this life now that you understand things better. Very cool.

I think it is very probably that traits follow us. Perhaps they are reminders of "issues" we failed to resolve in a previous life. Perhaps they are simply reminders of our previous lives and like monopoly, when we collect enough pieces we can pass "Go".

Ive noticed that people seem to stare at me. Some of the reasons I think is that they can sense the negative energies that come from my previous life or the indigo silhouette energy . but there is that factor that I dress very differently from " normal" people dress. But in some cases I am the "normal" one.
