If looking back at my younger years i could describe myself as promiscuous and lustful. I would happy pursue an attractive individual if it seemed i could share intimacy with them but lately since attuning myself more with the indigo vibration iv noticed significant loss of my sexual mojo. Although occasional i will find myself in a late night act of spontaneous love making, i no longer get the inner satisfaction as i used to before i started raising my awareness. I look at the whole act as very primative and dirty, leaving me feeling shameful. It brings me alot of frustration because on one side my hormones are screaming in my ear but on the other my conscious awareness doesnt want me to. Can anyone relate?
Hmm if anything being awoken, it has shown me that love is the greatest thing and i dont know it made me think that sex isnt everything but it is a key part to love...
I dont think i will ever abandon sexual urges because they are natural and i dont know a sign of love...?
I know what you mean in a way. Typical sex just for sex without any connection has lost my interest, I just find it tasteless now. But the urge for a strong connection and intuitive sensual feeling with someone has increased dramatically for me lately.
Just think for a second. All of our society's spiritual dogma considers sex as a dirty and shameful act. Most people don't care, because they have no interest in spirituality. But then you start being interesting in spirituality, and then you suddenly feel shameful of sex. Is the bell ringing in your head now, ding? My little finger tells me that an ideal person does not feel shameful and dirty of sex.

I realize that most of my issues with sex come from societal views. Currently trying to work through those with my girlfriend. Since experiencing spiritual ecstasy far greater than any orgasm I've ever had I don't fiend for sex like I used to. I recommend Dr. Frank-N-Furter's advice:

Thank you all for your words. I believe i most relate to Jayaresein's post. Maybe it frustrates me that when i do have sex with someone its just out of carnal lust and hormonal mind control instead of mad crazy passion and love. Maybe i just have to find my twin flame but its hard!!!! So many people arent at my level of awareness that finding my other half might take a very long time. A very long time is alot of sexual frustration that needs to find release, and not solo release! Release with assistance! ( im trying to keep this as clean as i can lol ) Nothing beats the warmth of another human body and supressing those urges could have long term effects on a person ( look at the catholic priests)
So im still not sure what to do. I want to keep enjoying other people but at the same time i just want to be able to do it passionately not just like a caveman...

Sexualituy for me was the number one priority from early childhood (age 5?) right up through my mid-50's.
Actually it was a bit of a curse since it got in the way of everything. I am very bad at concealing my thoughts so it made life very awkward at times especially around sensitive girls who correctly assumed I was interested in ONE thing. They were right. I was like a puppy. I wanted to screw EVERYONE and even EVERY THING.. inanimate objects must have wondered about me.
I lucked out and somehow wiggled out of the money and status-quo trap and into the sexual/hippie revolution of the sixties. Had that not happened I would probaby have become a serial killer out of sexual frustration.
It's a matter of maturaty though. And appreciation. I love looking at pretty girls and a well-rounded butt on a fine woman to this day BUT I have come to value intimacy and appreciation of BEING loved, more than the sexual act itself. Old? Well, hell yes............. but not dead, not dead to passion, not dead to sexuality, not dead to love. Not ever.

That's what is so tough about "committed" relationships. They are tough on the guys particularly... "Hey, Hey - What Can I Do" (Led Zepplin). There are those on both sides of the bed that use sex as a weapon of manipulation and man, that is VINEGAR!

Sex for the sake of sex is nothing more than an enjoyable muscle spasm.
It is very probable that your higher consciousness is showing you the emptiness of sex as a primary focus in life. For one whose higher consciousness has awakened, sex is still enjoyable, provided that it takes place within a relationship where something is shared - something given and received (and more than bodily fluids!).
The ultimate experience would be where two complete and awakened souls choose to share their minds and bodies simultaneously, creating a complete merging of mind - body - and spirit; a merging that results in a sort of cosmic orgasm for the soul.
