My kundalini was activated after reading the E.T awakening guide, and I've been on the most excruciating and awe inspiring ride since...I did reach a point where I felt as though the fire had turned my insides to ash, which is when I stumbled upon Reiki Tummo. It's a practice I strongly recommend for anyone wanting to accelerate the good stuff and sooth the cleansing process. As far as I've experienced, when people experience a kundalini awakening without any prior preparation (i.e. mediation, yoga, general cleansing and expanding of chakras and channels) it is a painful process and can go on for years ( I was experiencing massive highs and lows and constant pain from my environment). This is where reiki tummo comes in..it opens sushumna channel, and cleanses activates chakras, whilst flooding the body with divine energy, so now you have the two very powerful and beautiful energies operating to help you ascend...I'm still cleansing but the pain is reduced by the divine energy channeling through my body, and I am training my mind to effective/overcoming my ego (i.e not judge, be here now), as any crappy thoughts I have instantly create pain in my right shoulder as the energy is removed through my arm.
In short, I've found the perfect practice to complement my awakening...the whole point is to go deeper and deeper into your heart (out of your head), which just gets sweeter and sweeter. Also, refering to the question 'how can I awaken my kundalini?' the workshops related to the practice are run by people capable of giving attunements to awaken the kundalini in a completely safe way...I've seen people tranformed over a weekend...hwoever, the way others are awakened is a slower, more subtle (but still very profound) journey...and much safer and complete than anything else i've heard of....whether you're looking for a practice to complement an already active kundalini, or would like to start the snakes uncoiling, it's going to be a beautiful trip to get involved with...also as your heart starts expanding you have beautiful interactions with other practitioners....basically it's a safe way of waking up all the 'normal' humans out there, and balancing and blessing some crazy indigos (note: I had extreme pressure building up in my shoulders from my kundalini until I had an attunement to open my sushumna channel, now the energy flows freely up through my crown chakra, as divine energy flows down). My issue with the practice is that it doesn't account for me being indigo...with the people on the level I'm practicing there's very little awareness of the purpose, or deeper meaning/outcome of what we're doing...and that I would have to pay LOTS of money to be interacting with people who do 'get it'. Also, I've found that the people teaching have basically said to through out all other practices/understandings...they're not accounting for the inner balancing of polarities that i've experienced, this is a little frustrating...!

Anyway definately a big helping hand on the path...I don't know if that answered your question Eriol..hope it gave you some insight anyway

Nice info Hrishi. I feel my kundalini is ready to raise, but I got a back curve problem due to another health problem. When I'm making yoga positions, I can feel the energy ready to unleash, but that only lasts so long. I'm going to work on that back curve. Nice, this is what we need: clear info.

Kundalini is not some "psychic" anomaly or anything of the sort. When not ready for it, it can turn your nervous system upside down. Monks in India spent their entire lifetimes readying themselves for something that happens completely spontaneously for myself and others.

I have to agree that hrishi wrote it very well.. even without the grammar :P

On one level, kundalini is activated once you have cleared enough of your own karma to be able to take in and clear other earthlings' karma as well as cosmic karma. This is no easy ride..

I agree that reiki tummo is a great book for anyone who has experienced an awakening, however.. if you try to use that in lieu of guidance, then you were probably hurt yourself.

Good luck..I reckon if you're anything like the other indigos on here, when your kundalini decides to rise its going to be a crazy journey...all you can do is ride the wave..the more you let go (of everything you thought you knew, and surrender to the source) the more beautiful and smoother it is..don't fight it, let it be

...I'm talking about the meditation practices...thousands and thousands of 'normal' people all over the world have had their kundalini activated (through this organisation) and are slowly making it burn brighter and come into their light bodies, whilst swimming in the ocean of their heart(what i've thrown off in mths, these people are doing over years)...14 yr olds are practicing this (with beautiful results)...definately not possible to practice effectively/safely without being part of the workshops etc.

I meant the books.. the workshops include people who can act as guidance. However, the book does not offer the same safety net.

...you can't get the attunements (and therefore awaken) unless you attend a workshop..its that whole principle of an enlightened person having the capacity to awaken someone else with their presence...amazing to watch/partake in

True also...but I think the av. joe wont spontaneously awaken by reading a book on kundalini(at this point in time)...an indigo with pressure systems building and willing them to implode may be a different story!

I wouldn't be surprised.. I know I spent at least 6 lifetimes in Atlantis, and I have a total of 473 incarnations on Earth (I only know because I had an akashic reading not very long ago).. she only told me the specific lifetimes that I made good progress in.
