I have, for years, and still do even though I have to order it for my clients from Canada. Around here you can't get it without a script and docors won't write one anyone. I have used it primarily for the cessation of cystic fibroids on the breasts, ovaries and uterine lining. Also for certain thyroid and endocrine imbalances.

Going to read the article to see what else its used for.

Is has iodine in it and also Iodide which is missing in nearly all diets these days as well unless one is eating a lot of kelp. Actually I've never tried Lugols on myself I guess I should as a sort of preventative.

Most people are iodine in their diet of fish and iodized salt. However, only about 50% of Americans use iodized salt, and fear of high blood pressure, many people have reduced their salt intake. One gram of salt contains 77 mcg of iodine. high chloride content of table salt, some experts estimate that only 10% of iodine in iodized salt is actually absorbed.

here's a good video that belongs here

a MD who has lost faith in the Medical System has posted this. It's a big eye opener, I recommend you grin and bear the poor quality sound so you can find out exactly how important iodine is to life and an organisms ability to thrive.

I have been going through quite a detox on this lately. I started up another bout of iodine therapy (using the lugols and seaweed) - mostly natural stuff, no added salt or fat, check your packets, many of the manufacturers put salt and fat on their seaweed to make it more palatable / addictive. What I have found is that unless you use something to transport the heavy metals out of your system (I have been doing it to remove the mercury I have absorbed over the years from dental "silver" fillings, which are actually 50% mercury), the mercury will reabsorb into your system on the iodine therapy. I have been using a product called chlorella - this is more popular than vitamin C in Japan - due to it's ability to remove heavy metal and toxins from the body by binding the heavy metals and exporting it via the elimination systems. What I found was that I was getting very light headed when the mercury mobilized from my cells and whatever places it had deposited in over the years. It gets in literally every organ in the body. I also felt a lot of tingling on the ends of fingers and toes, occasionally I would get numbness/tingling in my lips. That was the most extreme. I also found that the kidney pain I had intermittently for years disappeared (I'm thinking it's mercury stuck there now - that is what was causing the pain). Every time I feel it now I have the lugols and some chlorella and it goes away. One thing you will need to bear in mind is that chlorella is sometimes difficult to digest - if you think you are having issues with it, get some digestive enzymes that include cellulase. The memory loss, light headedness, eventually goes away once you have enough chlorella to absorb it.
