♥ When The Student Is Ready, The Teacher Will Appear

Just an observation... Going back into the archives and reading some of the posts, it becomes apparent that there is a MENTORING process going on here at IS. Nothing organized or formal, it's just happening. Posts referring to PM's that really affect one's outlook. Links upon links to other often very informative forums... it goes on and on and it is just f**king beautiful.

I remember when I first came here there were a bunch of juvenile whiners b*tching about their X-box or allowances... Now those same people ARE TEACHING! ! It's like suddenly a topic comes up - even deeply metaphysical and it's like someone jumps up and says; "Hey I KNOW THAT" and wham - it's being shared.

It is a groove to see too because it is a mentoring process 1-on-1 (or sometimes more) that is just really righteous!

I am learning too... there are older Indigos here that have pried open my brain door and let out stuff I didn't even know was in there. Memories, cognitions, predictions, remote viewing, deja'vu and yes boys and girls... feelings and a little unverifiable telepathy. Wow

This puts a bit different perspective on the oft said "When The Student Is Ready, The Teacher Will Appear". I keep waiting for a teacher while looking past the fact I've always been surrounded by teachers.

Firstly - yay at Zen O!

When you told me that once, I had a feeling it was something you kept close. :3 It's simple, no? Only when someone is ready can they learn... and when someone learns something good, they do good: they share. How beautiful the cycle.

I hope that my teacher arrives at my "doorstep" soon... My spirit guide is beginning to send signals that I'm ready.

A sinister history and a hopeful future.

Yeah. I've seen it, too. All kinds of glorious things are beginning to happen around here. Ain't it grand? But, I wish I'd seen this thread of yours a few days ago. Thanks, Old Man. This is good.

And, thanks to you, Zen-o. Good bump.

And in truth, if we are all a part of the whole, then we are all teachers - and students - the only difference being what is remembered by who.

    Thanks for the bump zen!

Everyone take your (meatphorical) seats - class is now in session.

Or better yet - we'll get up off our seats and go get some hands on learning

We are all just one collective improving itself. Imagine how many more collectives are out there doing the same.

Just to add a point that has yet to be FULLY expressed on this thread. When the student is truly ready, perhaps "the teacher" is no longer needed. A ready student can learn from everything that happens around them, without a personafied teacher to instruct. Or at least not in the physical. Much like the "What would Jesus (or my enlightened self) do?" question. Good luck and good learning, students on auto-pilot.

I still feel like in my life that progression would be so much easier if my spiritual master was to come whisk me away to some remote place where I would study all day and have a master to deal with one on one. I agree with what Zen O said about a student. Ill continue working on becoming that ideal student but wouldnt it be nice to meet a master.......

There is a movie, written by Bruce Lee, and starring among others David Carradine(sp?) called "Circle of Iron". A mix of martial arts/zen philosophy movie in which Mr. Lee was trying to explain zen philosophy to the western audience. I love it and would highly recommend it.

I know this is probably not going to help you any but, I know how you feel. I remember so many times when I was almost desperate for a human being to come along who would teach me everything I wanted to know...everything Iwanted to understand. But, it doesn't usually work like that.

I have been honored to have four very wise teachers in my lifetime. Each one came into my life when I was least expecting it....they just showed up. And, each one taught me some things but, of course, none of them taught me everything.

Oh, as I said they all just showed up, except for one who appeared to me and spoke to me through dreams and visions months in advance of when he showed up in the flesh. He was a teacher on the prowl.

You see, even though there were times I really wanted a teacher to show up, I never went out looking for one. So, the title of this thread is expecially poignant for me.

Well, anyway, that's how it happened for me. Maybe it will happen the same way for you.
