    Memo from God

    To: YOU
    Date: TODAY
    From: THE BOSS
    Subject: YOURSELF
    Reference: LIFE

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

Should you decide to share this with a friend; Thank you, you may have touched their life in ways you will never know!

So our life sucks less because somebody else's life sucks more? For some reason this idea stirs up fear in me. My intuition tells me you're right though, .

LOL Calibas. I understand the point that Optimystic is trying to make, but I would also prefer to avoid focusing on the relative "suckiness" of other peoples' lives. My goal isn't to attract more "suckiness" into the world, afterall, but rather to elevate and uplift those caught in "sucky" situations. (Ok, I won't use the word "sucky" again for a month - I promise.)

Another way to find gratitude in difficult circumstances is to view them as a chance to practice or develop a particular skill. I do this all the time, and I helps me to find the diamond that is often hidden in all of that coal! For instance, if a circumstance arises that requires me to drive to the next city over on an icey stretch of highway at night, I will say: "thank you for this opportunity to practice my driving skills!" You can do this in any situation. If you don't like talking on the phone, for instance, give thanks for each opportunity you have to practice your conversational skills. If traffic jams aren't your thing, try giving thanks for the chance to practice patience. See what I mean?

Well even a ray of light has its duality, thats the idea of a frecuency, there are wide frecuencies wider than than the universe, and there are shorter frecuencies, smaller than a lepton.

And a ray of light has a double duality, for one side, its electro magnetic, thats one duality.

In the other side every wave has its own duality, they are two, in there, 2 positions of the same stuff thats nothing, that is just a move.

I can't be something if there is not something else. So I move, If I exist, I know I exist, so there are two things, Me that exist and Me that knows that I exist.

That was the original time travel, the OROBORUS. It was a hit in its time hahaha.

That would probably be because its a completely false conclusion that entirely misses the point of the post.
The point isn't that "our life sucks less because somebody else's life sucks more". The POINT, is that we tend to take for granted many, if not most, of the GOOD things we have going in our lives.

I watched a good movie the other day called "The Dog Problem", and there's this scene where the main character meets Mena Suvari's character in this huge, gorgeous, Beverly Hills mansion. The lady is surrounded by luxury, waited on constantly, has a bunch of adorable puppies, and yet remains in a foul mood and disposition and bitches about how hard she has it.

Now granted, most of us are not living in Beverly Hills. But each of our lives are filled with our own particular riches, and the point is that many times we don't even recognize them, much less appreciate them. Gratitude and appreciation makes life easier to bear because with them, we don't let the bad stuff weigh us down.

It isn't about denying or dismissing the hardships of life. Its about remembering that they are only part of the picture and putting them in their place.

I love this...sometimes we get so wrapped up in lifes problems that we forget that we can let go and let God. So...I'm putting something in God's box. My dad's mental illness.
Anybody who tries to tell you that they are the way or they are the light has, obviously, not met the indigo who has mastered the power of FREEWILL.

Instead of looking at the glass as half empty or half full be thankful for what you've got.
I've been having problems seeing the blessings in my life, thanks for your help.

Yes, the "me that exists" and the "me that knows that I exist" is what "The Kybalion" calls the "me" and "I." The "me" is also conceived of as the feminine aspect of the personality (receptive and procreative), while the "I" is thought to be the masculine aspect of the personality (that which acts about the "me," causing ideas to germinate).

What do you mean by "the original time travel, the OROBORUS?" As I understand it, the Oroborus is the coiled serpent devouring its own tail. It is a symbol of the cyclical nature of time and eternity, as well as a symbol of the self-defeating nature of knowledge. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the symbol.
"Where there is love, there is life, And where there is life, there is hope, (There is hope...), And in hope we find the sight to see
    The essence of divinity
    " - The Cruxshadows, "Defender."

    Excellent pun.

To UntoldGlory I think he's talking about, to put it in Western mythology, when God said "I am". "Suddenly" there were "two" "things", "beginning" as you said "the cyclical nature of time and eternity"
