Recent empathic/clairvoyant(?) experiences

Hey all I'm new...

I've been having some interesting experiences lately and I am a bit lost as to what to make of them. Hopefully you guys can help me?

I have always been fairly intuitive but I have, frankly, been terrified of having psychic experiences most of my life. I remember I used to hear voices when I was younger, when I was very relaxed, but it scared me so much that I used to pray for it to stop. :| Needless to say, this doesn't really happen anymore.

The only other psychic experiences I have had (until lately) have mostly been people/voices talking to me through my dreams. Usually these voices give me information and answer questions that I have. However, I've never taken it very seriously.

In the past few months, I feel like a hole has been ripped open in my mind. I feel completely different emotionally, I look at everything differently, and I can't explain quite how. It's confusing. I guess the closest way to describe it would be "detachment", but it's not negative. I just feel like I've taken a big step back from everything. This has been happening since shortly before the New Year.

I talk about things that will happen with complete assurance, like I know, even though I don't recall how I came to those conclusions. It's like remembering a memory that I never experienced.

There have been several occasions where I have thought of a person or been around them and felt (very intensely) the emotions they were experiencing.

I was doing a tarot card reading for a friend a few weeks ago, and I was giving information that seemed to just come out of nowhere. Every card seemed to have so much more than its usual significance. Each one gave me a feeling and a sort of moving picture in my mind.

At one point she asked me about a friend of hers and I saw a human egg before my eyes. It was as if I was looking through a microscope. The egg was moving through the body. I felt an intense feeling of lack and need. I felt a huge craving for a feeling of comfort, of having a home to go to. I felt like I absolutely needed to have a child to take care of and a "normal" family to go home to. Which, at the time, felt crazy...

I described this to my friend and she told me that it fit very well with his situation, because he had an empty family life growing up and feels a very deep emotional need to have a family of his own.

Things like this have been happening recently, things I can't deny, because I didn't have the information to "put the pieces together", I couldn't have just guessed, and now I'm finally coming to realize that the experiences I'm having are genuinely psychic. I'm freaked out and excited all at once.

But I'm also frustrated. It seems that whenever I try to see one of these "metaphor pictures" or whatever, I'm unable to. I wish this were more controllable!

If anyone has any insight, or can recommend any good books to me on similar experiences/developing this sort of thing, I would much appreciate it!

I would just say to trust yourself,
you have a beautiful natural gift that many would love to acquire.
All your answers are inside of you,
we can learn by noticing what the patterns are.
It sounds like to me that it is your guides you have been hearing.
My son hears his too, they even wake him up in the middle of the night to talk to him when necessary.
What happened right before the New Year was that we moved completely into the Photon Belt and this is sending an even larger amount of Love & Light particles into our existence and so 'veil' is quickly vanishing,
this is a very good thing!
You, whether you realize this or not, are a Master who has come to help earth at this time,
just follow the voices inside your head and no you are not going crazy,
there are many others who are going through the same thing,
it's just that we get to go through this ahead of the majority of the global population
and what we learn we need to share with others, not keep it hidden.

Thanks, Geo. You boosted my confidence. I have to admit that I wondered more than once whether or not I was just 'crazy'.

The Photon Belt information is interesting, I remember reading about that years back, but didn't know such a change had happened recently. How awesome!

I've been like this all my life both an empath and a clairvoyant. Here's what I've learned:

You can control being an empath by learning to block. Some days it's harder than others (I don't know why) but you can block. In my experience the only person I haven't been able to easily block out is one of my soul mates. I'm closest to him than any other person in existantance and when I block him it's physically painful. It takes energy away from my body and leaves me exhausted and nauseated. However he is the only person that I've had trouble with and I believe he is my One so you shouldn't have any trouble blocking people out unless you find your One, in which case for the most part it is more satisfying to always be connected to them.

About the clairvoyance. This really can't be controlled but it can be influenced. I have things I called flashforwards. Sometimes they are like complete memories of things that haven't happened yet. Sometimes they have sound other times they are only pictures. In some cases I can hear future conversations without any picture or indication of when or where and must recognize the people by there voices. When I was younger I mostly only had flashforwards while I was asleep or on the edge of consciousness but now I occasionally see them from time to time. Actually I haven't seen many of late and I believe it is because my clarvoyancy has evolved past the need of flashforwards. Now I can feel the future. At least that's how I describe it. I know without a doubt things that will happen. I can feel when someone important will enter my life or when something will happen to someone important in my life.

I am a strong believer in fate and destiny. Fate is the unavoidable and Destiny is the outcome of our own choices. Once you figure out the patterns of the universe it's easier to determine what is going to be Fate and what is going to be Destiny. It takes time and practice and a lot of belief in yourself even if no one else believes you.

I highly recommend cultivating that feeling of detachment. It will allow you to step back and get a larger picture. You'll be able to see clearly, without emotional attachments.

I'm of the opinion it's a mistake to try controlling these things. Simply hold your intentions in mind, let go, and the work will be done for you. If possible, let go of your expectations, they often blind us to the truth.

You know a lot of people ask me this. Honestly I thought everyone could do it.

Well it is kinda hard to explain but I'll try! First off the reason why I managed to master blocking was basically because I wasn't given much of a choice. I was thrown into a situation where the person I loved the most hated me and blamed me for everything that was wrong in his life. It was bad because I had to feel all of that and of course to feel that from the person you love more than life well it makes you hate yourself. I suffered for a while but eventually I taught myself to block some of it out.

It wasn't until much after we made amends and I started to experiment and eventually learned how to block completely and even block selectively.

But the first and most important thing is you have to believe you can do it.
If you know you can do it then you are already half way there!

Another thing that helps me is to think that emotions are the same as energy because honestly they are, but for me at least it is easier thinking well I can direct energy instead of I can direct emotions although you really are doing both.

The easiest way to practice is to find someone you know well and concentrate on them. I used one of my best friends. I concentrated on her and soon I was able to pick up on her and just ignore the rest of the people around me.

After I could do that I tried blocking her too by concentrating on my own feelings.

At first it is tiering but once you get the hang of it, it doesn't take as much!
Well after I could do it with her I tried it on other friends once I got good at blocking them then I tried it on people I didn't know well.

Now I can just seek out positive energy and negative energy from people so I just know who to block and who not too. And if I want to feel my friends negative emotions to help them I just unblock them and concentrate on them.

It makes it a lot easier because you don't have all the emotions rushing at you once and you can easily tell who is feeling what.

It takes a lot of practice and discipline but once you can control it it all starts to come naturally and your abilities get better tuned and even sometimes expand. It's also helped me deal with my depression immensely, incase anyone reading this is prone to depression control helps a lot!

Calibas- You are probably right. I've come to a similar conclusion. These things only seem to occur when I am not expecting them, anyway. I will take your advice about the detachment.

I think you are a medium with alot of gifts.Maybe you are ready for them to shine now.I know they are scary,I've had them so bad that I was put in a phsyc ward twice,and I had childrens aid take my 2 children from me and acuse me of being schysoprenic{i can't even spell it}so I to have prayed to god to make it stop.It did.I am so glad that the world thinks I am normal and gave my kids back,but i am spiritually sad and in a coma.I am praying to be able to let my gifts shine and grow without ever losing my kids again.I pray that only good comes through to you and that god will protect and guide you.Take a deep breathe and know that you are not alone.Rachel.

My gifts to communicate with the dead have been off for over 2 years now.I was suprized when i went to a rumage sale at a church a couple of months ago.The church was at the top of a hill you had to drive up.At the bottom i fell the dead.I hadn't felt it for so long but i quickly remember what it was.There was a cemetary at the church.I was not ready to speak to them.So my heart began to race as i could feel them smiling and calling me over to them.I wished them to rest in peace but could not turn them off.I panicked and went into the church and asked god to help them rip,or cross over,and for me not to hear them or feel them.I prayed and it was gone.We shopped and as we were leaving my 8 yr old crystal daughter zoe,said ma ma,i need to go the cemetary.I told her i could not do that today.She got very upset and kept asking me.We prayed for them to rip.I am now prepared to help zoe in the future and not discourage her.It has been quiet again since then.Rachel.

yeah it would be nice if it were able to be turned on and off, and come when you really want to know something, instead of spontaneously. and then theres always primary process distortion too...thats what i've been reading about lately. it's how the mind will twist the info thru the filters. sometimes when you get a miss as a psychic is because of this. a lot of times when i miss, say think the wrong thing, it's because i have some attachment to something, be it fear or desire for certain outcome. detachment is good. not being afraid of your ability and not resisting helps too. i've seen it prove itself to me a bazillion times and i still doubt inwardly what i know. sometimes it's ok just not to know ....just let it unfold. sometimes its ok not to really understand exactly whats happening.
but you are not crazy, people who doubt this can be real and think theyve got it all figured out are way crazier than you sound.
i've tried for years and years to learn to turn it off, and block things. i am not that good at it at all. i've learned a few tricks that help me....if you mediate on it you could ask and be patient for these answers. like recently like you said , and everyone else who i know who has the gift, it's like become a thousand times more powerful and fluid. that and the synchronicity, and the instant manifstation. just clearly ask the universe for what you want, be patient and then blam out of no where there it is! i mean sometimes, more and more these days tho for like the last year.gotta not block it with thoughts of unworthiness or doubt too...
but yeah i know what you mean about the stuff you say, and then later your like, that wasnt even me saying that, i dont even know what i was talking about! i get that too, like something else comes thru you with the info the person wants or needs.

i've been mostly lately trying again to learn to block out stuff more...it was more in the background, futher away, not so immediate up until about a year ago. theres some pretty intense enrgies going on with this time period, i think it's just gonna keep getting weirder and weirder and more intense, hold on to your hats!

I have been having similar experiences. Mine though are more well, I smell the scent of the person around me, and then in my peripheral vision get a glimpse of them, it all happens so fast. I guess I would like to know how to make it slow down, so I can understand why they are visiting me. Any thoughts, or suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Also I'm curious if anyone has had experiences with empathy coming from other sources besides people? I remember a long time ago I was watching a movie with my other friend, it was kinda shitty, but he said that sometimes his eyes would water during sad parts of the movie, even though didn't care about what was happening in the movie, this surprised me at the time because the same thing was happening to me at that time. It's kinda a weird thing to experience but I think it may have been associated with some kind of empathic experience, and he himself was definatly indigo generation, very smart guy. Anyone else had this? It feels different than actually crying or whatever because of a movie.

I definitely have this ability....But I can connect with anything that has feelings and emotions an example an animal hmmm plant I love looking deep into trees I notice the difference with one that is florishing in a forest compared to ones sitting outside our houses. I am a sucker for movies really am....You know it may not even be a really really sad part but I get so overwhelmed with feelings I end up crying....Lately because I am coming into a new phase of my abilities everything around me seems and feels different these days....I also believe as I am drawing nearer to 08/08/08 as well something is happening....Don't know what but it is.....
