I think that State College Pennsylvania
Home of very large Penn State University,
has a very high survival capability that will
spill over into the countryside.

It is very geographically stable.
It is 1,800+ ft above sea level so it is tsunami free.
Not near any former big volcanoes.
All around State College are organic farm lands as a
food supplier. There are Timber lands and limestone deposits.
Good plentiful water. A large Agriculture graduate school,
from different cultures, creates a pool of creative flexible
minds. A climate of seasonal changes provides a variety
of food production like fruit and nuts.

The Amish and Mennonite farms are self sustaining and
they already provide foods to the the SC Community and can easily
increase production with more farm hands which the
college can provide. The only downside is the lack of
a local conventional sustainable power source, like natural gas.
There are some pilot projects in: Sun, Solar, natural methane,
and steam power generation; that could be up and running quickly.
Coal and natural gas is within 200 miles. There are two power plants
within 30? miles but I don't know what they use for generating power.

I liked it there.
It would be be very easy to go back.

Good news everyone! Nothing bad will happen! Nothing -at all-. You may see bad things happening around you, but that's because it's those peoples' journey. They created those things for themselves to help them on their path, and those around them who let it affect them. God has blessed everyone with the gift of choice. If you do not want bad things to happen to you, they will not happen. God is unconditional love.

The changes have already happened. It's up to us to decide if we want to see them or not. Some people don't and that's perfectly alright.

I'll treat it like I do any other winter solstice and celebrate the turning seasons! Though, I'll probably make sure hubby and I are together all day ... just in case!

I am going to have an end of the world party! (though I don't believe it will be the end of anything)
I even have an end of the world party playlist on my iPod, with songs about 2012 and the world ending. (is that weird? probably...)
I will be sure to spend that day with friends, and we will party it up like it really is the last day.
However, I am very afraid that there will be worldwide panic, terrorist attacks, and suicides prior to and on that day. If anything, that is what I fear most.

I'll be staying at home and keeping to myself most likely. I think that people will act out as if it really is their last days and be crazy and dangerous. Not all people by any means but enough craziness goes on around here on a normal day so I can only imagine the stupidity many will exibiting on that particular day. No thanks, I'll just have a romantic evening in with my sweetie. Although I will be keeping an eye on the news.

Take a look at the number of the month december. 12
Because of that, I think the very special day is going to be the 20th of december.
That gives 20-12-2012.

We won't know what to do till it's time. There is talk of change. Maybe the change will happen because we make it. I know people will do stupid things, that's all because of fear of the unknown. During the day I will be quietly sitting, meditating, soaking in the energy of the winter solstice sun.
During the evening I will be strapped into my chair listening to Coast to Coast AM and all the guests they're having on that Friday night.

But if I have a girlfriend by then I'll just be having coitus the whole day.
