I think that would be a good suggestion, but many lenders will oppose probably because of the ballooning debt from loan they get to them. In these article I've read CFPB wants input on student loans as student debt swells, well much likely student loans now is the quickest increasing category of customer debt in America. They said that student debt is now larger than all the credit card debt and is accelerating away. The CFPB is also asking for consumer comments on school loans. are one of the single largest types of customer debt held by Americans, as it has surpassed charge cards and car loans. As a consequence, the CFPB is seeking comment on private student loans from borrowers. The amount of debt is rapidly rising. Student loan debt grew from $852 billion to $870 billion in the third quarter of 2011 alone, according to the Washington Post. Increased student debt levels are thought to heavily contribute to fewer young families purchasing homes, as only 9 percent of 29- to 34-year-olds held a first-time mortgage as of 2011, compared to 17 percent in 2001.
