Rainbow around the sun
I remember being in elementary school which was in the 80's and during PE seeing a rainbow around the sun. This phenomenon took place probably 3 times that I can remember. The odd thing is that I spoke to a few friends that were there as well and the only thing that they could remember is the sun with a rainbow. I can vividly remember the sun not hurting my eyes and around the sun I could view space and stars like in the circle I was seeing straight into space. It was an extremely peaceful moment for me. So recently I decided to google a few images of this and all I see is the rainbow around the sun......no stars. But I know what I seen.

the raindbown ring around the moon is an awsome vortex of energy....
and the sun....there is so much information data emitting from it....the rainbow ring ...very good stuff...in one of my "rabbit hole" stages...i used to stare into the sun everyday....emitting was the energies of Sekhmet and Horus....there aren't really words for what was transmitted to me....but the imagery was straight out of temple pyramids in Egypt...it was an amazing time...people thought i was crazy...maybe i was a little *giggle* but I would never give those experiences up for anything.
I saw a partial rainbow ring around the sun about two weeks ago. It was cloudy that morning, and so the rainbow was only visible through some gaps in the clouds, but it was unmistakably present. The same afternoon, thick clouds rolled in and we had tons of snow--the heaviest snowfall of the year. I liked the way that all sort of worked out. It was like a sign of hope or something.
Also, in the Summer of '07, I was in Norway, reading a book which was, at that moment, discussing the red ray in a reverent way, saying that it had positive sides, not just negative ones. I looked out the window and saw a rainbow. The kicker: This was at 11:30 at night. I was just inside the Arctic Circle and I didn't see total nightfall the entire three months I was there.
Here are some pics of it:
If you look close, you can see that it's actually a double rainbow, but one of them is very faint.

cool, i always wanted to go to norway in the summer.
You get this effect when you have large amounts of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. It is more common is nearer the north and south pole. I saw it all of the time, when I was living in Oregon, but don't see it much, down here in CA.
If you saw something else, it was not a physical phenomena, on some other level.
This is a time of sign's and wonders in the heavens and earth. Keep looking and you will be totally amazed!!!!
yes i see them quite often here too, but not the round one around the sun, but it look nicethey say there is a treasure in the foot of the rainbows =)
the scientific explanation is the water cristals act as prisms with the ligth and separate all frequencies, which give the rainbows =)
I remember seeing that a few times too when I was in elementary school though I was in elementary school a decade after you (in the 90s)

Ha the only thing that I saw that fascinated me when I was a kid was seeing the moon and the sun out at the same time lol.

lolz me tooI also used to go to where the light was coming in from the "peep-hole" on the door and move my head to see the various colors. the convex glass acted like a prism separating the light that came in...it was so beautiful!! I showed it to my cousin and whenever he saw me doing it he wanted to fight me for it lolol boys
The pix are beautiful on this threadthanks for sharing
