Increase your psychic ability?

Hi, I dont know if this is a stupid question or not,

but are there ways to increase your psychic abilities?
Meditation?

I'm really just learning about this spiritual aspect of life,
and Ive been told by psychics that i'm psychic, but Ive only ever had a few random experiences (a 'vision'?, voices in my head).. and I feel like every day I'm becoming more in touch with that side of myself, but I just was wondering if I can "speed up" the process....?

Meditation is nice to help balance the mind, I do it twice daily. 15 minutes right when I wake up, and 15 minutes right before I go to sleep.

Intention is important, so ask yourself:
Why do I want to increase my psychic abilities?
