Could Someone Please Tell ME What This Might Be

Hi, I made an account before but from lack of use I totally forgot the password and now Here I AM! Anyway, I've always believed in the paranormal, unlike some there's never really been any real doubt in my mind that they existed. Since I was young I was always a chicken hearted little thing but ive mostly outgrown that. I think now looking back on it its because I was always.... Somewhat "aware". But thats as far as it ever went. Ive never really seen spirits in physical form (at least not that I know of) but it was always this...sense I had.
Now to present day: Some nights I can sleep alone in my room just fine and be completely comfortable.. Other nights, I feel discomfort. Like Im being watched, not completely alone or something like that. Its almost always after I awake in the middle of the night. When things like that happen I usually get my covers and sleep on the couch, closer to my mom whose bedroom is downstairs. But never has there ever been any real things to cause me to worry as far as things like that go. Never any random household items suddenly moving by themselves or anything like that lol. The scariest thing that may happen occasionally is my silly kitten suddenly looking past me (over my head or something) and then she'll dart from the room making a funny whining noise. I swear every time she does that I look over my shoulder. Now to the point: Today, my mother's bday, some family members were over and my moms younger sis brought over her adorable but extremely big kitten so my kitty could have a playmate. He sat plop down right under the christmas tree which was lit up and I thought I would take a picture... This is the outcome.

What do you see in the picture? I mean, I see a round glowing in front of the cat but that could be from the lighting. There is also an object in front of the cat, though it looks like an ornament. I also see a face shaped shadow to the left side of the photo.

I didnt see the shadow to left, what I felt I saw was an orb, but...maybe it is the lighting. Although I snapped two or three more pics right after that and there was nothing there

The orb could be an entity, usually when a light flash comes from the camera there are several orbs getting smaller and smaller the closer they get to the lens. Cats are very sensitive to other worldly beings. The fact that the cat looks so calm and relaxed indicates if it is an entity orb - it is likely a very friendly being.

Yes, I thought the same thing. He was quite calm, but my cat is usually different in her demeanor. As I stated earlier she'll look past me into seemingly nothing and just hail tale to the next room.

Yup, my cat was like that too. She would be sleeping smugly, dead silent in the room while I'm sitting on couch or something.

Then suddenly she would just raise her head, HUGE EYES, and STARE at something, in which there was NOTHING that I could "physically" see. She would stare it long and hard until it went away and then she'd go straight back to sleep. This happened constantly, I think some even have the power to make the entities go away.

I hope they do! It is scary at times. But strangely I feel peaceful and I'm home alone now so I'm not so much worried about it anymore. Sometimes I feel a negative energy surrounding me but as of now everything seems fine. Even stranger still, my boyfriend just had a terrible death in his family yesterday (which was when the picture was taken). I didn't get a chance to meet the young man like my boyfriend wanted but it hurt me because all I heard about was stories of how him and my bf grew up and my mate was quite shattered over it. Maybe just a coincidence tho.

Those "orbs" you see in ghost hunting programmes are almost certainly dust particles floating in their air being picked up and magnified by the lens IMO because I actually thought I was picking up orbs too when experimenting with cct camera and soon observed over time it was dust particles.

While your pic could have picked up something paranormal I think it's possible that it could be something more rational.

    Ghost hunting programs are lame.

real orbs can be caught by camera.

But yes mistaking them when they are actually dust particles is also very common. A trained "eye" can detect otherwise though. There are some distinct differences.
