Looks to me as if the cat knows exactly what it's doing. I've read some descriptions on here about people healing eachother, this reminds me of that. The cat kind of put it's hands over the babies faceand touched around the head chakra,

I honestly think the cat knew what it was doing.... Notice how after still touching the baby after it fell asleep, the cat begins to yawn. It pat the baby on the head, as if a family member would do, and it didn't stay there and pester the baby after it was asleep. It left.

It TOTALLY looked like that cat knew what it was doing. And obviously this had happened before or the mama wouldn't have pulled out the video camera to capture it.

    Animals are amazing. <3

They definetely are. I have a need to always have a dog around the house... Though, whenever we get a dog, it seems precious, but theyre all disobedient. It's unfair. I've went through more then 10 dogs. Ran away, brought back to the pound, gave some away, one even died... I just always feel better when I have a dog around the house. Though, I'll be seeing my dog when I visit my dad's house during Christmas! I can't wait. Maybe one day my mom will get a cat, they seem easier to take care of.

The key with dogs is to not treat them like babies. It's hard, but they need firm discipline. If they don't have a pack leader, they will become the pack leader--the alpha dog. I have found that grabbing a dog by the scruff as if a mother were to grab it with her mouth and growling like the mother is the best way to show a dog you are not happy with a behavior. And affection and love and attention are the best ways to show they are 'being a good dog'.

They really do feel better if their human friend take control.

    Cats are much simpler

I always tried to be soft because my dad was always to harsh. TOO harsh is never a good thing- it would just make the dog less obedient. I guess it was kind of like a good cop bad cop situation, which probably made things worse. I tried to be really comforting. I'm really poor right now, a few months behind on bills. It will probably be a while before we even attempt to get a cat.

My dad was ridiculously harsh too. It's a tough balance.

I hope you get to have an animal friend soon.

Thanks! I have a pretty good bond with animals, they normally seem to like me. and when I see my dog at my dads house, and whenever/if I get a cat, I'll try to mentally contact them... Or other non-verbal communications. Worth a shot! :P

I had a cat like that..she seemed almost human. By the time I got really sick and was taking chemo therapy, my cat Patsy, was already 14 yrs old and very very obese.
She always knew when I was feeling very ill. She would come up on my bed and lay her soft squishy calico body next to my balding head and pet me, lick my bald head and purr
very loudly. She treated me as if I were her ailing sister.. My Patsy was one of a kind..she's been gone now for 6 years. I still think of her everyday. She even comes back to visit
    every now and them...

I love to see these type of videos -- pets with babies/toddlers. They are the cutest, kindest and funniest things.

That is such a beautiful story! My two kitties were always at the side of my girlfriend when she was sick from cancer and her treatments. I could totally tell they were taking care of her. She would be up nights vomitting and I would go into check on her and both cats were right there staring at her and loving on her.

Last night her spirit came to me (she passed away recently) and I was angry at her so I told her to go away. She told me she would come to me as a cat and purr by my side. The craziest thing was that my cat immediately came to me meowing and purring and cuddled up right next to me. It was amazing. I hear and feel my GF's soul or spirit but sometimes I think it could just be my imagination. This was just too amazing though....almost physical proof of her being near me.

As someone who has had cats her whole life (two of which were older than me when they passed at ages 15 and 16) I truly feel that the cat in the video is looking for the off switch and then turns to the human and says "Well you weren't doing anything about it-- no-- NO YOU go off and get the damn camera, yeah, that'll help."

...that's what I heard. In all seriousness my cats did much of the parenting around my house when I was growing up. They might not have fed me but they would go get my mother when it was time. Once I pulled the stick out of the window and both hands were stuck in window and the sill and she of didn't hear me scream but the cats did. They sat with me for a few minutes and then we looked at each other and Punkin took off to hound my mother... which was funny. It was like listening to Lassie. "What girl what do you want?" "Mow meow mow mow." "Wait, something's wrong?" "MOW.MEOW.MOW.MOW." "Where? Take me there." "Meow. -_- (which I think meant, fucking idiot, she's 5 where do you think she is?)" And every cat I've ever had has always been the sleepytime guardian. They wake me when I'm nightmaring. And in return, they're all spoiled freakin rotten. (As they should be.)
