I'm an Indigo, Now What? «  » by AngelusLeDarcy
So I've found out I'm an Indigo, now what do I do? I really want to help people, change the world, start a revolution and all that jazz, but I have no idea what I came for. How do I go about finding out what I'm supposed to be doing? It's one of those things that I can feel my purpose on the tip of my proverbial tongue, but I can't quite get it from subconscious to conscious. Is there some way to unblock the freeway? I really do what to get started with my mission, but just having trouble along the way.

Start by getting to know yourself; your strengths and weakness, your likes and dislikes. Make lists (favorite personality traits, worst personality traits, places you really feel drawn to, people you admire etc.)

But above all, learn to step back from the constant chatter in your head and listen to your inner (higher?) self, it knows where you came from and what you are here to do.

Meditation is an excellent way to begin the relationship.

Namaste :)

I just wondered and wondered for the longest time until a friend told me to forget about it and let your subconscious figure it out. Ironically enough this didn't work out for him to well since he changed his mind several times after this point. (The original question was what should we do with lives after graduation)

However this method worked wonders for me. I just decided to do what I was doing and not worry too much about it, then one day I was sitting in the grass writing in my journal and all of a sudden I suddenly knew what I wanted to do.

It's not like I suddenly knew every detail but my internal compus seemed to have repaired itself and I knew my direction after that it all just sort of came naturally.

Matthew 7

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

The greatest mission start within your self. When you begin to explore your inner self, you finally will find your outher purpose.

yeah i get this way to trying to figure out what my path is...and confused about what road to take, trying to think my way out of, or even into something.
then hopefully you look down at your feet and you see you've already been walking it!the things that are already in your mind, and in your heart are your path, but its easy to forget this. especially if your trying to make money or find a job, practical stuff....i've always followed my dream of being an artist, and after feeling for a long time that i wanted to be an artist i realized i already was! and had been for my whole life...course the money thing is tuff, but just today i sold a piece so i'm feeling a little better. but its certainly not that easy. and even when i'm not selling it, it is still important to keep my faith in my self and the path i already have laid out before me.
i've been really into this idea lately, the already is idea...you know rather than try, or figure out, or find a way....there already is a way, your already doing it. you just gotta remember what you already know. like me and my friend were talking the other day and he was saying that he wants to be more compassionate, i was glad that my inner poet took over and was able to somehow express that he already was compassion, no need to try! he seemed to really benefit from that info.

art is definitely my passion. i have know that it was thing since i was like four or five, i was a dancer and singer and i would make stuff, and design clothes and jewelery when i was little. i have been a professional artist, meaning i make all of my money , by selling my art for almost ten years now.
but yeah thanks, i like doing astrology readings...to me it is a healing thing. i can do other kinds of healing, but i dont and havent pursued it because i have a lot of issues with grounding and am so sensitive to energy, and empathic... i am not always good at clearing it, staying grounded... and i tend to like get all melded into the person...so i just give good massages and do little bits of healing with my hands on a personal level or for a friend. but not too often i find it is better for me to try to be grounded and keep good boundaries, and to sheild myself from most people. but astrology is really healing i think for people...a lot of times when i do a reading, especially in person, i really can get at peoples big issues and sometimes the person has like an enormous emotional release and understanding....sometimes i find it is almost like a conselling session, since peoples big issues tend to be very clear in their astrology...and when i start to talk about them usually they start talking about stuff, that they may have not pieced together and seeing how it fits with other things...anyway yeah so i generally have done it for free or trade or donation. mostly my interest is in research...i tend to avoid telling people that i have a lot of astrology skills, but word gets around and then everyone comes up to me and wants to have a reading. like recently when i was at a party someone there knew i was an astrologer and they asked me some questions and soon enough i had done like fifteeen readings in like a few hours! o it was good, but it can be a lot to give like that.....ah whatever ...i know it is very helpful for people like it was helpful for me when i got my first reading....so it seems like a good healing tool for me.
