    Indigos and eating meat

This ad goes away when you register.
This doesn't just apply to Indigos, but Crystals (especially), other spiritually sensitives, etc.

Should we avoid eating meat? Be vegetarians/vegans? Do you think it lowers our vibration? Animals being slaughtered can leave those negative energies in their bodies - which we consume.

I'm not talking about protein, but eating meat itself. It's definitely not "natural", and our bodies are more sensitive, and also with spiritual connections. We know we are all One, including animals.

I used to be a vegetarian but had to quit that diet because I wasn't getting enough protein. I don't just feel grossed out eating meat, I also feel more "dull", like my energy vibration.

Fruits, veggies, organic and natural is best in general.
What do you think about us eating meat?

I feel lethargic when I eat meat... but I have not tried an all organic diet. It could be the pesticides and hormones in the meat rather than the meat itself- or it could be the meat - I am not certain.

I used to be almost vegan as far as dairy goes, eating mostly fruits and veggies but some fish as well (no bottom feeders). I felt so much healthier and happier.

I let a psycho ex guilt me into eating meat again and I'm in the process of becoming vegetarian again.

If you do eat vegetarian though you MUST MUST MUST follow a diet book instructing you how to get the correct amounts of proteins and from what sources. It's a fair amount of work but like anything else give it 30 days and its second nature.

    ya, you probably are.

Maarten...you're on the right track. We should all be Vegans. We have no right to impose our will upon a weaker species just because we can. You can get protein from other sources.

Exactly. For health, it's not natural anyways. Indigos are also more naturally resistant to it. And spiritually, animals are One with us.

I'm not sure if meat really does lower our vibration or keep us feeling low-energy and dull, but I think it's better for us to be on vegetarian/vegan diets.

    "the circle of life !"
offcourse we have the right to eat animals lower in the food chain(if you choose to). i see myself as a omnivore which means im partly predator. my teeth arent all square like a herbivor and we have survived all these years by using our intelligence to outsmart other species. the survival of the fittest. i love veggies too dont get me wrong, i eat very healthy (only eat biological veggies and biological MEAT). I also dont understand why products such as milk and cheese are so taboo. Milk provides me with necesary calcium and fats, as does cheese.

i believe in instinct.... if it feels good, do it. so if veganism feels good , go ahead. but dont tell me everyone SHOULD be vegan (no offense offcourse).

theres a whole smug vibe i always get from vegatarians/vegans trying to tell me im poisining my body bla bla..

edit : i definately caught a negative vibe here lol . mademe put my thoughts down very black n white, almost abbrasive... almost? lol.. must be me quiting weed making me cranky. sorry guys

I don't know for certain, it's not one of my abilities.
I don't know... I mean, eating meat is natural for humans. It's what our ancestors have been doing for thousands of years. Hunting animals and consuming them is just in our nature. Our bodies were constructed to handle meat, so it seems odd not to.

I myself don't eat a lot of meat, just chicken and bacon mainly. However, I don't see a problem with eating a lot of it. I mean, as long as you realize the sacrifice of the animal before you... I think it is ok. As long as you're not a gluttonous pig, in other words

The human race would not have survived the ice age if it had not been for the fact that we were omnivores. We ate meat at the time because it was the only available food source, and that put us at the top of the food chain. That gives us the ability to eat whatever we want. That's one of the great things about being human. We have options.

Personally, I don't eat a lot of beef, but I love chicken. I'm not likely to give it up real fast.
    Peace and Love,

    It's a regular Jackson Pollock painting :)
Part of the problem I see with spiritual vegetarianism is that if you want to live within the flow of nature (The Tao), then life and death and the eating of meat are a part of that natural flow.

But I'd like to become a vegetarian anyway. It's one of my goals, but it is not something I would enforce as a spiritual imperative on other people. I just like animals too much to eat them anymore! (If you've ever spent time around cows or pot-bellied pigs, you'll know why.) I saw a poster a while back that had a picture of a guinea pig on one side and a picture of a regular pig on the other side, with the caption: "Which do you pet? Which do you eat? Why?" I used to laugh at it as being silly, but when you really think about it, it's a good question.

I agree. Kind of like when Christians start their preaching, saying that you aren't saved just because you're not of their religion, or see things their way. Not all Christians are that way, but I've met alot that are.

Eating meat is definitely natural, that is one of the beauties of us humans. There is such a diversity of things that we can consume, which is one of the reasons we have lasted so long.

Evolution has favored our being able to eat meat. We have evolved with the stomach to process meat. Being omnivores, we are consumers, so the energy that is released when the animal, or plant, dies, is consumed (By us), and put back into the earth anyway. That's putting it very simply.

And just before the preacher dies
He knows his god is false

I've been vegetarian pretty much since '84. I don't judge others about it. It is a personal choice. But everytime there is a scare over mad cow or whatever, I am glad I AM. But I hate tofu, and most of what people think of as vegetarian food. I just make the things I always liked (cassaroles, pizza, mexican food) without meat in it. Then it's like I am not missing anything at all. Except that funny textured carcass that smells like something died.

SPIRITUALLY : eating meat is not good for our spirits at all . i think its much better if we can stop eating meat . for me personally thinking about how we get the meat before i eat it it makes me feel sick . but i still eat meat " hey i am single & don't like cooking so i have to eat fast food most of the time " .

PHYSICALLY: its 100% normal for humans to eat meat .. just look at the fangs in our mouthes .
Its too bad that stupidity isn't painful

I had no desire to become a vegetarian - I was perfectly happy with my chicken and fish, ground beef on pizza and the occasional steak. I tried to be "smart" about it - eat free-range, cage free and all of that, but then I began to transition into crystal and the desire to eat meat...to drink coffee...even refined sugar - just sort of evaporated.

    from a Yogi perspective..

most of the Yogi's are vegetarian. Some of them fast for extended periods and I know meat lowers spiritual vibration but many other things do also, drugs, beer, coffee, cities, worriers, fear obsessed people ... the list goes on..

it really depends on your path.

saying all that I still eat meat, I would like to give it up personally but at the moment it seems very hard as I am a student and live in an environment which is surrounded by such foods. Personally I have fasted a little and found it amazingly invigorating. Something I will definitely do again. I would like to do it with a tantric partner and attempt some rasa tantra. Back to the garden of Eden

I hate tofu too as well as other vegetarian sources of protein. I was a vegetarian for about 3 years because I didn't want to eat animals. But then got diagnosed with diabetes and was told that I was eating too much pasta and carbs and needed to eat more protein. So I added fish and chicken. I didn't want to, but there it is... lol I just couldn't stand the thought of eating tofu and soy and/or beans all the time. I do really love soup beans, but a person just can’t eat them every day. You know.

But even when I was a vegetarian I still loved chicken. I’d see people eating chicken and I’d be like… dang I wish I could eat that. Or I’d say, I could really go for some fried chicken right now, but damnitall… I’m a vegetarian. lol

ya I noticed not feeling real good after tofu - I had a meal with a friend who was a vegetarian and although it tasted great and all the meals had this meat substitute in them made of tofu - I felt nasty the next day.. Tofu just doesn't agree with me..

Wow, that was pretty disgusting. I can't see how people could sit there and melt off chickens' beaks, and dig the poor piglet's testicles out. Geez, that made my balls hurt.

I'm not sure I should trust that, though. I don't trust PETA, they seem like extremists. They used the worst examples to make the impact, and they used power words to manipulate your reactions. I don't doubt how that happens, I just doubt PETA.

Alot of what they do is probably because it will waste money. Those animals are just profit to them. And they probably just say, "They're gonna die anyways, don't waste the money on them. "

    Very unsanitary, too.
