not the christian view, not the wikipedia or Oxford dict. definition, but how and what YOU believe is evil.
To give some reference to the thread, I believe "evil" is whatever you do, knowingly, that will affect someone else negatively, all the while knowing full well that what you're going to cause some level of damage, or at least create unnecessary negative vibes. In my view of it, Evil is okay because it's the other side of the coin, and while "Good" is better by Nature, "Evil" is still better than "in the middle doing nothing".
for me, dropping an empty drink can on the street and choosing not to pick it up, is evil unto itself, because someone else will have to pick it up for me, and will probably get at least slightly pissed or annoyed, and I know it full well when I make the choice not to pick it up.
don't let religions fool you. Evil is a concept close to the Anti-christic state. i.e. willingly not caring about the global oneness and connectivity of the Universe and everything inside it.
(or what some call "service to self")
