I adore psychology, because I have a dream in helping people become individuals without fear. I am going to study psychology starting in September and I hope to study for 12yrs to get to the highest level possible. I do not want to be a psychologist in the sense that people understand or in the common ideologies.
I want to research methods to help people live fulfilled lives, where they can be who they want to be, in a way that cannot be harmful to themselves or others. My goal is to help people be able to break the mould of society without breaking the law to do so.
I think it is strange that a person cannot feel comfortable being lead by someone who chooses a punk lifestyle, even though their beliefs are their own as an example. You do not need to change your perception of what is right or wrong, or what you like and dont like, or what you believe and dont believe at all. But what you do need to do is find out whether or not what you do believe in, and what you do like, are really your own thoughts, and not just influences you've had your whole life to make you think that something is normal, when in fact normality in it self does not exist in a world filled with individuality. You need to find out why you think, what you do, and ask yourself, now, is this really what I think? Or is it just something my parents made me believe, or the government made me believe or school peers made me believe etc... and dont just take scientific evidence as gospel truth either, because scientific facts often change as research progresses.
For example, this food is bad for you will make you fat, will give you cancer bla bla bla, and later research prooves that in fact, that food helps cure cancer or does some other health benefit for your biological system.
The point is, I want to make a world that doesn't live in fear of not being accepted because of who they want to be, for people to be comfortable in doing whatever they want and being who ever they want, as long as they do not break the law, or harm anyone in the process (including them selves)
I don't know what area of psychology I want to work in, after my studies perhaps I will know. But currently I am still learning about what kind of careers a person with a doctorate in psychology and social history can do.
The things I write below are my own beliefs and observations over the years, people need to be aware - some people only read what they want to believe, others only read things in black and white and doesnt see a deeper message inside, so, sometimes what I say will be rewritten in many different ways so people, on many different levels of perception can understand and benefit from what is being said. In a way, this thread is manipulating, as it is manipulating you to open your mind and be free. But this is not harmful manipulation. It is only harmful when you make it harmful in the way you use the information below.
I am here to help, not hinder or cause arguments or discomfort.
What is written below was posted in IS before, but I dont know how many people would read that thread, because its a thread only about the progress of a book I am writing based on my spiritual journey and my perceptions of what is real.
Those who do not understand what another person is saying, or disbelieves what they percieve to be real – you stick to your perception of reality, but leave those alone who do not share in your perception. Because, after all, what you deem normal to us might be insane and vice versa, hence the beauty of a world filled with individuality.
If you don’t like something, do not suffer your self to it – it is that simple; why suffer something you disagree with and try to make others think like you whom have different opinions? I am sure you would not tolerate someone criticising your views and way of life, and try and convert you to anything, so, why should you try it with others?
This isn't just about religion (when I used the word convert) but a general life perception, the meaning of what I wrote above is... who are you to judge when you are being judged yourselves by people who are not like you? Do you like it? Do you like to be judged for what you are? Live in fear of whether you are going to be accepted in society or not? If not, then change that in the world... change it by not being those people who sit back, judge, avoid others because of whatever, and live your own life in your own perception, whilst happily accepting others, no matter how weird your perception thinks they might be!
Because you too, are weird, even if you are the majority of so called normality! You are bound to be weird to someone out there in the world!
In my opinion too much normality or a person who falls into too much regularity is weird! Because they live in fear to be themselves – which is laughable really because those people who you are afraid to disappoint, or not be accepted by, also live in the same fear as you do, the fear of being an individual that stands out and not be accepted too, the whole world lives in utter fear for themselves. It is a shame that humanity allows them selves to be so stressed by it, and not embrace who they are happily.
